The next morning I woke up to my alarm going off, I pressed snooze and went back to sleep. I felt Ashton's fingers rub circles on my hips. "Come on princess, only a few more months and school will be over" he whispered, peppering my face with kisses. I groaned and my eyes fluttered open. "G'morning" I mumbled. "It's only a half-day today anyway, you can do this" he smiled kindly. I sighed and sat up, rolling out of bed.

I slowly stood up and grabbed my uniform before walking to the bathroom to get ready.

Once I was ready I walked back into my room to tell Ashton goodbye before I left for school. When I opened the door he wasn't in the room. I shrugged and walked downstairs to the kitchen to make breakfast.

I saw Ashton stood at the stove, cooking eggs and bacon. "Hungry?" I smiled, laying my book bag down on one of the chairs. "Not really, but I figured you are" he said, turning to look at me. I jumped up and sat on the counter, watching him cook. He looked so focused and it was possibly one of the most attractive things I've seen him do.

He transferred the food onto the plates and set them on the table before walking over in between my legs. "You hungry?" He asked. I nodded and looked at him, seeing his bright green eyes stare directly into my blue ones. "I wish we could stay here all day. But you, Katrina Hemmings, have school" He smiled, picking my up and placing me on the floor. "Don't remind me" I groaned as I sat at the table.

I ate quickly so I would have more time to talk to Ashton. "Oh shit- you have to go" he said, checking the time. I glanced up at the clock and saw that I was running ten minutes late. "I'll drive you" he said, grabbing my hand as well as his keys.

We rushed out to his car. Once he started the drive to school and we had both calmed down I looked over at him.

He was running his hands through his messy curls. He looked absolutely perfect.

"Thank you Ash" I said. "Anytime princess, it's just more time I get to be with you and not your dumb ass cousin" He joked. I laughed and shook my head, shoving my phone into my bag as we pulled into the car-line at school. "I'll see you soon, baby" he said, leaning over. I quickly kissed him and gathered everything. "See you later Ash, thanks again. Love you" I shouted as I got out of the car and closed the door.

I ran to homeroom just as the final bell rang. "Right on time Ms. Hemmings" my teacher chuckled. "Yeah" I said out of breath as I took my seat. "Rough night?" Calum joked. "Busy morning" I explained, later realizing my phrasing wasn't much better. "Alright then, go on Kat" Mike chuckled, lightly punching my arm. I smiled and leaned back in my chair.

When second period came along I couldn't have been more uneasy. I knew we were getting grades back on our essays. I spent hours on that essay and in my eyes, it was A material. It was perfectly worded, formatted, and I couldn't have done a better job on it. I had spent several nights trying to make it perfect.

There was just one problem, the teacher.

Mr. Greene was an amazing teacher, but the most harsh grader I've ever had. "Alright, I've graded everyone's essay. They were fairly well overall, a few A's, a few F's, average was a C*" he explained. The entire class exchanged terrified as well as confused glances. I hadn't been the only person in the class that spent far too long on this essay.

"Not your best Ms. Hemmings" he sighed, placing my three-page long essay on my desk. I looked at the grade circled in the infamous red pen. C-. "What the hell" I mumbled to myself. I looked over the comments he had made.

 Not detailed enough

Oh please, detail was my main focus and I even had Liz read it numerous times
