*Two weeks later*
"Come on baby" Ashton whined, desperately trying to get me up. He went quiet for a few minutes so I took that opportunity to try to fall back asleep. Then I heard the intro to Louis Tomlinson's cover of Look After You. My eyes shot open. "Are you trying to make me cry?" I asked sitting up. He turned it off and grabbed my hands. "Come on then, mum made breakfast" he said. I shrugged and went to lay down again. "We have watermelon" He added. "Sign me up" I jumped up and grabbed his hand, dragging him down the stairs with me.
Hours later we unfortunately had to go back to my house, I left about an hour before Ashton so it didn't raise any suspicion. Band practice was in an hour but apparently Calum and Michael were already there. I walked through the door and into the kitchen. I rubbed my eyes tiredly as I grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge.
"Someone looks tired. Rough night?" Calum winked as he walked in the kitchen. "Nope, just tired. Ash will be here in an hour" I laughed. "Alright, sick. Have you talked to Amy today? She hasn't answered any of my texts" he asked. "Not like this morning but we were talking at around 3 this morning" I explained. "Oh oka- why were you talking at 3 AM?" he laughed. "We were just talking about life" I chuckled. "I need to go take a shower, I'll see ya Cal" I said and walked upstairs.
I walked to the bathroom, and got in the shower. I turned the water to hot and let it roll down my back. I washed my hair and body before standing in the shower for another ten minutes, just enjoying the water on my skin. I washed my face for about the third time, trying to wake myself up. Once the water went cold, I stepped out and dried off.
I put lotion on my legs and arms before wrapping the towel around my body to start on my hair. I applied all of my cremes and oils for my waves and started to blow dry it. I usually straighten my hair, but I decided to leave it natural today. I walked to my room and got dressed before going downstairs to get coffee.
"Someone's tired" Mike smiled as I grabbed a coffee cup. "Only slightly" I joked with a smile. "You alright?" he asked. "Yeah, are you?" I asked, wondering why he was being all concerned. "Yep" he said popping the 'p'. I made my coffee and Mike handed me the cream. "Need this?" he asked. "Yeah thanks" I smiled. I finished making the coffee and put the cream back in the fridge and walked back up to my room. The second I sat on the bed I heard the door open. Ash is here. I grabbed my phone and walked downstairs. "Oh hey" I said to Ashton as I walked in the living room and sat on the couch. I listened to them practice as I scrolled through my phone.
"Are you okay Kat?" Luke asks. "Yeah. Do I seem mad today or something?" I laughed. "You just seem off" he explained. "Time of the month?" Cal joked. "Calum.. You fucked up man" Ash said, a terrified look on his face. "I'm just gonna act like you didn't say that. Continue practicing" I said smiling. "Okay what's up with you?" Ash asks. "B- Ashton, I'm all good. Just kinda tired" I explained. "That was close" Calum mouthed to me. Thankfully, Luke didn't notice. I smiled and shook my head and looked back down to my phone.
At the end of band practice once everything was all packed up we decided to sit around and try to write a few songs. Calum's song writing skills were so impressive, his lyrics tied together perfectly and they were so expressive yet subtle.
The entire time Michael was being a bit touchy and flirty and I was highly confused. He's been acting strange since the night I had to climb a tree and get him down when we were playing manhunt. Ashton could tell I've been pretty uncomfortable around him, it's not that I disliked Michael, it was just I didn't have feelings for him other than our friendship.
"I'll be right back" Luke said and walked upstairs. "Hey Kat" Michael said as it started to get a bit quiet. "Yeah?" I asked turning my head to look at him. "Can I talk to you, in the kitchen?" he asked. "Yeah of course" I said starting to stand up. Ashton lightly pulled me back down. "Why can't you talk to her here?" Ash asks protectively.
