*Friday*

That Friday, Josh was having a back to school party. We had successfully made it through our first week of school and we had to celebrate. Since we were seniors this year, everyone planned on going all out. "The party starts in two hours" Luke reminded me as I put my last binder back into my book bag.

"Gotcha, I should probably start getting ready" I planned aloud, hopping off of the chair. "This early" he laughed. "I need to curl my hair, do my makeup, put in my contacts, and get dressed. That's going to take me at least an hour and a half" I chuckled and walked upstairs.

I grabbed my phone off of my bedside table and sat down at my desk, placing my mirror in front of me and grabbing my curling iron from the drawer.

I started up my playlist and started first with my hair. An hour later, my hair was finally done. It took much longer than I anticipated. Doing anything for my hair always took a significant amount of time because of how thick it is.

Another forty-five minutes later I was ready, all I had to do was put on my dress.

I slipped on the short, off the shoulder, burgundy dress and black heels. "You ready?" Luke called from downstairs. "Yeah" I yelled back, grabbing the black clutch from my dresser and heading downstairs.

"You look great" I said to Luke, he was dressed in a black suit. When everyone said they were going all out, we really meant it. "Thanks Kat, you do too. Just please stay with Ashton" he said protectively as we walked out to his car. "Thank you. And of course I will" I smiled, stepping into the car.

"I'm designated right?" he asked as he started the drive. "Yep" I said, popping the 'p' with a slight smirk. "Oh and Arabella?" he asked. I nodded and pulled out my phone to text the group chats that we were on our way.

When we pulled into Josh's driveway, we got out and walked to the front. When I saw Calum I sneakily walked up behind him and covered his eyes. "Guess who" I joked. He just laughed and turned around to face me. "Hey Kat" he smiled and hugged me.

I hugged him back and looked over his shoulder to see Ashton talking to Michael. He used his hands as he talked, the liquid in his glass moving with every gesture. He looked great. His solid black suit defined his very toned arms. His hair fell perfectly over his face.

"Okay Kat, he's your boyfriend. You can go up to him instead of viewing from afar" Calum joked and gently pushed me in his direction.

As I walked up to him, he turned and looked directly at me. He looked me up and down before smiling. "Princess you look amazing" He said as he pulled me into a tight hug. "Hey Ash, you do too" I smiled.

"Damn I'm single" I heard someone say. I turned to see Arabella, a glass of champagne in her hand. "Hey Bell" I smiled and hugged her. "You two are adorable" she smiled.

"Irwin, if you break her heart, I won't hesitate to break your neck. Got it?" she said, stepping up to him. "Got it" he nodded. "Alright, my work here is done. Kat, we'll be in the back whenever you want to come with us. Amy's coming inside in a few minutes" she said before turning back and walking outside.

I turned back to look at Ashton. "Michael" I heard someone yell. Luke. "Oh no" Ashton and I said looking at each other before rushing in to the lounge. He has a beer in one hand and a cocktail in the other. We watched as Luke dragged Michael out of the room, he sure as hell put up a fight though. "We have very interesting friends" I sighed. "You're telling me" he said, putting his arm around my waist as we walked outside, meeting Amy and Calum on the stairs.

"Hey guys" She smiled. "Hey" Ashton smiled back, walking over to talk to Cal."Want to go get some drinks?" Amy asked. "Sounds good" I said and walked back into the house with her. "Just a warning, I'm a bit of a lightweight" she said as we filled two cups. "Same here" I laughed, taking a sip of the beer that was nearly over-flowing. "Good to know. What about the guys?" she asked. "Cal and Ash both hold their alcohol really well, it's quite annoying" I joked. "I bet you had to deal with them a lot, considering you live with Luke" she chuckled as we walked out.
