Maia: 01.00-"Cousin we have to talk 🤪".
Indie: 02:20-"Dre just dropped me off I'm so excited to sleep. I'll call you first thing, when I wake up ❤️.
Kev: 02.50 -"Just got home Milly, sleep well talk to you tomorrow".
Dre: 03.30-"I'm home sis! Talk later x".
Daniel: 08.00- "Good morning beautiful".As soon as I woke up, I turned on my phone and these were the text messages I woke up too.
I couldn't help but to smile, knowing that on this cold but, sunny beautiful Sunday morning I had already received a good morning text from this Daniel. Last night still felt like a dream.
I scrolled through my Spotify 'gospel favourites' playlist on my phone and put on 'Tye Tribbett- Look up', to prepare myself whilst I got ready for church. I took my time to get out of bed, as my head was still hurting from last night.
There was no way I was going to miss church, I had not been to church for the past few months, due to writing my 20,000 word masters dissertation.
However, now that I was officially free from university, for good. (It felt so good to say that).
I will be attending church again, dedicated weekly one hundred percent. God is, and has been so faithful.
I shivered and limped to the bathroom, it was so cold in the house this morning, and my feet were still so sore. I turned on the shower, the bathroom mirrors and shower door started to fog up as the water was so hot. Just how I liked it, I stripped out of my pyjamas and got into the shower, singing along to the music.
Once I got out of the shower, I dried off, wrapped my towel around me and walked over to the sink to brush my teeth. After that I put lotion on my body, using the best shea cocoa butter from the body shop, and got dressed. I left my twists down, did my make up and walked downstairs for breakfast. Converses were my shoes of choice, but if I could go in socks only, I would.
I heard my family getting ready around the house, but no way was I going to wait for them. Every time we go to church as a family, we end up getting to church LATE! My mum always, fluffs the pillows, tidies up or prepares neatly packed lunches for us to eat after the service.
My dad insists on getting ready last, because he believes that as he is the only man in the house, he takes the shortest time to get ready. He actually takes the longest. Then we are left with Isla, she can be selfish. Once she gets ready in the morning, she stays in her room so that she does not have to help in any way which slows things down too.
Everyone was getting ready for church upstairs, I took that as an opportunity to have first dibs in the kitchen. I poured my coco pops into a bowl, warmed up the milk for 2 minutes exactly, and poured it over my cereal. Once I finished eating, I drank up all the milk and washed the bowl because I really do not like a packed up sink.
