Tuesday 12.00pm
Sitting indoors was pretty boring. So, I decided to collect my electric blanket, and sit on the bench in the garden to get some fresh air in my lungs. It snowed last night, my garden truly looked like a winter wonderland. I admired, whilst I sipped on some tea.
I closed my eyes, and put my head back whilst 'James Ingram-Just Once' played in the background, through the speakers. I did not know why I was playing sad love songs, so I could get into my feelings. But it was one of my favourite songs. I hummed along, whilst reading 'Slay in your lane'.
My phone vibrated, I checked and it was a text from Andre. "If you're home around 2.30pm, can I come over?"
I did not want company, it was my last day off before I went back to work. I did not want to stress myself out.
"Hey. I'm home today, yeah but I'm not in the talking mood being honest with you. Hope you're good though" I texted back.
An overwhelming sense of guilt came over me, but my 'friends' needed to know they let me down. I needed a bit of space from them.
"I'm good, ok speak soon then". Andre replied.
I went back inside to make a chorizo, and cheese bagel. I boiled the kettle, so I could make another green tea before I had a nap.
4.45pm
'DING DONG' I groaned as I stretched, and walked downstairs to open the door. I wrapped my dressing gown strings around my waist. I had a shower earlier, and brushed my teeth. I had been wearing my dressing gown all day, to keep warm.I opened the door...
It was Bradley, he was holding a whole bunch of flowers and cards. I assumed they were from staff, and the children.
"Hey Mila" Bradley said, standing awkwardly at the door. I think he thought, I was going to give him a hug. He was wearing a brown leather jacket, dark blue shirt, grey fitted trousers, and smart black shoes. He also had his usual side part, gel'd hair styled, and looked very smart.
"Come in, come in. Would you like a hot drink or something?" I asked.
I fell asleep with the heater on, so the house was really warm. I took my dressing gown off, and hung it on the banister. Underneath I wore grey leggings, and a khaki green cropped jumper, with black socks, and let my braids flow free.
Bradley just stared. "Drink? Hot or cold?" I asked again smirking.
Bradley cleared his throat, "erm ho-, cold please". Bradley replied, fumbling his words as he sat down.
