Friday- 10.10am-
The strong smell of baked treats filled my nose as I walked past an array of restaurants and bakeries. The sweet and savory scents filled the air and I almost could taste it on my tongue as it had been a while since I had eaten, a slice of toast for breakfast. I couldn't resist temptation anymore, I walked into Greggs bakery and bought a sausage roll and hot chocolate, eating and sipping as I walked through the shopping centre to buy a gift for Daniel.

I walked into Hatton Garden Jewelers and felt out of place immediately, due to rushing I just threw on a beige tracksuit, with my beige timberland boots to match. No make up, braids wrapped up in a bun and wore my glasses. The customers in the shop were dressed neatly, and I got a few stares but that was the last thing on my mind. I thought hard about what Daniel would appreciate and something also in my price range, minding my business I jumped when a deep voice tore me from my thoughts.

"Can we help you miss?" A tall Caucasian male in a navy blue suit bald, with a full brunette beard asked me. I rolled my eyes just before I answered and turned around. I forced a smile and replied "uh yes actually, it's my 3 month anniversary with my boyfriend today and I want to get him something nice."

"Hmm" the man said whilst squinting his eyes at me. "What is you're price range?"

"If I couldn't afford to buy anything in here, I would not have walked in"... before I dragged the mans whole life I was caught off guard by a stunning pair of gold cufflinks in the window display." They shone brightly, they didn't even look real, I imagined them calling to me I walked slowly to them mesmerised as if I was cast under a spell. I said "these," I checked the price tag, feeling even more joy as they were in my budget.

"Are you sure miss?" The man asked.

"Yes..." I paused searching the mans blazer for his name tag, "Mr Budgens, I am sure." I smiled rather than sizing him up and down and cutting my eye, as I did not want to be painted as a 'angry black girl.' I know if Indie was here she would of been kicked out for running her mouth.

"Wonderful choice, follow me would you" Mr Budgens chuckled. We walked to the till where, he placed the cufflinks into a deep green velvet box lined with gold silk and wrapped the box with white tissue paper before placing it into a small burgundy bag.

"Card or cash" Mr Budgens quizzed.
I flashed my card at him and he gave me the card reader. It was an awkward few minutes waiting for the payment to go through, I stared at the machine holding my breath, hoping for the best and Mr Budgens stared at me smirking just waiting for my card to decline.

"Payments gone through, you're all good, please come back soon."

"To be racially profiled and judged the whole time? Never again, thank you though. Black lives matter!" I said as I walked to the exit, not waiting for a reply.

12.20pm-
I rewarded myself with a cinnamon sugar pretzel before I left the shopping centre and gingerly ate it before I started my drive home to get ready 'Jhene Aiko and H.E.R. - B.S' was the sound track for my drive home.

1.15pm-
"What should I wear?" I asked Indie as I propped my phone up on my bed side table and spoke on Face Time.

"Something sexy but casual. How about an oversized jumper and cycling shorts with your all black air Jordan ones?"

"Inds that is absolutely perfect, ugh what would I do without you?" I giggled.

"Uh you would be a mess" Indie said and burped.

"You are so horrid sometimes you know that right?" I said pulling a revolted face, as I searched   through my wardrobe for the outfit Indie suggested.
