Chapter 24.

Wednesday 7.00am-
I was actually on time for work today, 2 weeks to  Christmas. After my morning hygiene routine, and prayers. I got dressed, did my make up and walked downstairs.

My dad was working from home, and had made me scrambled eggs, toast and tea.

"Thanks Dad", I said as I gave him a hug.

"You're welcome baby love" he replied, as he continued to scroll through emails on his laptop.

After next week I was off work for 2 weeks, for Christmas break. I was really looking forward to it, as I would be able to chill out and spend time with friends and family.

I felt like I hadn't spent time with my friends especially, for a long time. Indie and my uni gang mainly.

DING! I checked my phone to see I had a text from Indie. "Don't drive to work, I'm coming to pick you up at 4.30pm. We'll get ready for Dre's party at mine, pack a bag and have it ready. Love you biatcccchh!"

7.45am-
I got up to put my stuff in the sink, and I asked, "Dad, can you drop me to work please?"

"Sure" he said. I picked my outfit for Dre's party later, before I finished getting ready for work. I chose an all black look , as perusal. Black vest, ,high waist leggings, and heels with an over sized black blazer.

I packed my bags, and locked up the house. I ran out to the car where my Dad was waiting. The car was so warm, as the heater was on, my dad put the radio on  and 'Zapp- Computer Love' started to play.

My dad and I sang along together, I got my old soul music love from my parents. I swear I just loved music like this.

8.25am-
Finally at the school, I took my seat belt off. I reached over to give my Dad a hug and kiss on the cheek, and said "I am going to Indie's after work then to Andre's party. Please do not wait up for me as I have keys, I love you".

"I love you too, and don't drink too much okay?" My dad said, jokingly, but in a warning tone at the same time.

Smiling I blew him a kiss, and closed the door my dad drove away and I walked into the building.

"Good morning Miss Ansong. How are you today?" Dave said as he gave me a cup of coffee. Dave was the class teacher for Year 4 he was so lovely.

"Good morning Dave, thank you. I'm well thanks. How are you?" I asked as I took the coffee from him.

"Great thank you, have a good day and see you around" Dave said walking towards his class.

"You too Dave" I said, now walking towards my class. It's the little things that can make your day, I had a big smile plastered on my face.

Aside from Jess, and Jace. I had a hi, bye, keep it short and sweet conversation relationship with all the staff.

I walked into my classroom and started setting up the tables, with morning activities for the children. I then sat at my desk, and replied to emails whilst I waited for Jess to arrive.

Jess was finally here, and her task was to finish off the morning set up. I sent a quick text to Daniel reading : 'hey bubby tonight it's Andre's birthday. He doesn't have your number to invite you, but he already knows you're gonna be my plus one. I can't wait to see you tonight. I love you'.

I sent the address with along with the text, and put my phone away. I took my final sip of coffee, before the kids came in and just before I turned my phone off, I got a text DING!

"I'll be there, looking forward to seeing you, I love you". Turning my phone off I smiled, and could not wait for the working day to be over.
