Lonely Guardian of Konoha [Completed]

CHAPTER 20

"Damn, how do we get stuck doing this everyday?" Complained Izumo

His partner was silent, but Izumo knew the guy was probably asleep, the two of them were stuck state duty, again.

He suddenly saw six people walking towards the gates,

"Who is it, and what's your business in konoha?" Asked Izumo without looking up from the book he was holding,

"Ehem" one of the six cleared his throat, then Izumo looked up at him,

"Oh my god, sorry didn't see you there" said Izumo.

"No problem" replied kakashi.

Izumo watched as kakashi walked past him, then came sasuke uchiha, then Sakura haruno, then came a giant of a man, he didn't wear a T-shirt, and had a gigantic sword on his back and last came a girl who was clinging to..........kakashi? Oh, this was that naruto kid, the kakashi lookalike. The kid had a scary and name, two last names. Naruto uzumaki-uchiha.

After the six of them passed him Izumo went back to his book, an orange one, and he started giggling perversely.

Team kakashi and the duo of Haku and Zabuza were now walking towards the hokage tower, the group was getting glares from all of the villagers, kakashi who knew the reason why just ignored them, while sasuke who also knew of naruto's 'predicament' returned the glares while naruto just put his head down in acceptance. Sakura who knew nothing frowned as she thought about why the villagers was behaving so.

"Um, I don't think the villagers want me to be here" said Zabuza as he looked uneasy

"It's not about you guys" replied naruto

"What do you mean?" Asked Haku. Naruto hadn't told either Haku or Zabuza about the kyuubi situation.

"Nothing." Replied naruto as he kept walking with Haku clinging to his arm.

He hadn't told Haku and Zabuza the whole story, he had just told them that the villagers 'thought' that he was a demon because he was born the same day the kyuubi attacked, he never told them that he really had the kyuubi in him, and part of him didn't want to tell them, he was scared, scared of how they would react, so he would postpone it as much as possible.

They got to the hokage tower and walked in ignoring the receptionist/assistant.

"Yo old man, we're back" said naruto lazily.

"Naruto, it's good to see you, I got your letter, what is this about a missing nin?" Asked the hokage

"That would be me hokage Sama, my name is Zabuza Momoichi, also known as the demon of the mist, an S rank missing nin in the bingo book, and also my adopted daughter, Haku Momoichi, I would like to join konoha, as a shinobi or as a civilian" spoke Zabuza in a whole business like tone.

"Well, why do you want to join this village, Zabuza?" Asked the hokage interestingly.

"Well, I just wanted to join some village, because I'm tired of all the running, and Haku didn't deserve this, and also, Haku happens to have developed a likingvto naruto there" replied Zabuza smirking at the last part,

This peaked the hokage's attention, he knew the kid well, after the incident where naruto lost his eye, the hokage and naruto had been close, and after teni was.....killed, he didn't think naruto would ever have someone again, but now...

"Very well, after a probation period of three months you will officially start your work as a shinobi, and as for Haku Momoichi, here you go," saying this the hokage threw a leaf headband at Haku.

All of them bowed and left except for kakashi who stayed behind to give the mission report to the hokage.

Zabuza and Haku were crashing
At naruto's and sasuke's house, since they had no house, at the moment all of team 7 and Haku and Zabuza was at in the kitchen in sasuke's house, naruto was cooking dinner for all of them,

"Where'd you learn to cook dobe?" Asked sasuke

"Here and there" replied naruto vaguely.

"The brats cooking is amazing, he cooked for us once, it was the best food I've ever eaten" said Zabuza surprising everyone,

Naruto just laughed nervously below continuing to cook, after about an hour the cooking was done and the table was made, everyone sat down and started to eat, then came the compliments,

"OMG how'd you make this, it's awesome!" Shouted sasuke, followed by Sakura,

"Now come you've never cooked before"

Even kakashi was surprised at the kids cooking abilities.

After dinner everyone parted ways, to their respective rooms, Zabuza had his own room, kakashi went back home, Sakura and sasuke went to sasuke's room, Haku and naruto shared a room.

When Haku got to the room she saw naruto laying down staring at the ceiling with tears.

"Hey" said Haku silently, "what's wrong"

"Nothing, I......just.....remembered someone" cake the reply,

"Teni?"

"Yeah........Itachi.......he'll pay" suddenly his sorrow was replaced by an overwhelming anger.

"Don't......don't do this go yourself" said Haku,

"Do what?"

"The anger, revenge, it's not good, it's not going to change anything, do you think teni would've wanted this?"

Naruto's mood changed, it was hard to read, it was one of sadness, anger, shame, and so many others. He didn't reply to Haku

"Did you ever consider the possibility that maybe he was forced to do it, or maybe it wasn't him at all" continued Haku,

"Ok.......I'll give him a chance to explain.......before I kill him.......for you" said naruto before pulling Haku towards him and laying her head on his chest,

Haku was content, for now, Rome wasn't built in a day right?...... Wait...... what's Rome? Why was she thinking about places or things that didn't exist?........

So guys, wassup, I am most happy to say that we're getting a lot of votes and a lot of views, I never had such hope for this book, but hey, I'll take what Inger, I wanna tell all of you how much I appreciate your votes, it's what makes my days brighter, and makes it all worth it, and I'm sorry the updates are being delayed, it's just that like I told you guys before. These days inspiration is lacking, but I hope I'll get hit by a brainstorm soon, anyways,
