Lonely Guardian of Konoha [Completed]

CHAPTER 28

It was the last match, the only two remaining,

Naruto Uzumaki-uchiha-Namikaze vs kiba inazuka

Kiba smirked as he jumped down, he had the deadlast, this is gonna be a piece of cake he thought,

Naruto, well naruto was emotionless as he suddenly appeared at the arena without any hand signals,

"Just give up deadlast, you can't beat me" shouted kiba as he smirked.

Naruto didn't give him the satisfaction of a reaction as he just stood there completely emotionless, reading his little orange book intently,

"Begin!" Shouted the proctor,

At this naruto finally looked up,  it seeing kiba in front of him smirking, he didn't even go to the trouble of putting his book away, as he turned the page and started reading the next page of the book, this, understandably irritated the inazuka even more,

"Put that away and fight me you piece of trash" shouted kiba,

Naruto didn't even look up,

"Don't blame me when you lose" said kiba as he smirked, keeping his Visigoths next to him and preparing jutsu,

"Fang over fang!"

Then kiba started to rotate, literally, creating what seemed to be a mini tornado, moving fast towards naruto who didn't seem to care a bit as he continued to read his book,

As the attack hit naruto he was thrown away, and kiba stopped spinning, a smirk plastered on his face,

"You can go ahead and call the match, he's not getting up after that" said kiba smugly,

"Should have used your dog kiba" came a voice from being him, everyone turned to see naruto standing unharmed, opposite to where he was just attacked, kiba swung his head back to the naruto he attacked in confusion, and he was just in time to see it poofing out of existence,

"Shadow clone!" Shouted kiba,

"You're done" naruto said as he made a hand sign,

Suddenly there was an explosion just next to kiba throwing him away, then another, and another, explosion after explosion hit kiba, causing Jimbo be thrown around like a rag doll. After about five minutes the onslaught finally ended, and when the smoke cleared kiba was on the ground, passed out,

"The winner, naruto Uzumaki-uchiha-Namikaze" shouted the proctor,

"Now all who won their matches please come forward" said the hokage, causing all the winners to come forward, all except sasuke who was still out from chakra exhaustion.

After drawing lots the format of the finals were chosen,

"First match- naruto Uzumaki-uchiha-Namikaze vs Neji hyuuga

Second match- sasuke uchiha vs Gaara

Third match- Kankuro vs shino aburame

Fourth match- shikamaru vs Dosu

The winner of the last match will face Temari" announced the proctor

Then the hokage came forward,

"The finals of the chuunin exams will take place in a month, this period of time is given for you to hone your skills, this preliminary you fought not knowing who your opponent would be, but you know who your opponent would be at the finals, and so I would expect to see you fighting to the best of your ability on that day, there will be many important people there on that day, they will evaluate your skills, even though this is a tournament there is a chance for all of you to pass, as well as none of you to pass, it all depends on what the judges think of your abilities, winning just means gaining another chance to show your strengths. Good luck" said the hokage,

After this speech all the genin who were left and the jonin and everyone present walked away, naruto walked towards the hospital, wanting to meet the bot he called his brother,

After asking a nurse the room sasuke was staying in he got to the room, when he got in he saw sasuke looking out of the window,

"What's wrong?"

Sasuke quickly turned his head, surprised at the sudden voice,

"It's just you" he sighed,

"Who did you think it would be?" Asked naruto,

"No, I was just remembering something"

"What?"

"That night"

Instantly naruto's look hardened, remembering the night that his foster family was killed,

"Glad to see you're OK, I gotta go" said naruto as he quickly escaped,

Then he started to roam around the hospital unsure as of what to do, then he saw Lee in a room and went in,

Lee was bandaged in his left arm and left leg, but the thing that was more attention grabbing was the fact that he was tied to the bed,

"Yo Lee, why are you tied?" Asked naruto walking into the room,

"Yosh, my eternal rival! I was trying to show my youthfulness by doing some youthful exercises, but the most unyouthful medic nin named tsunade tied me to this unyouthful bed stopping my display of youth!" Said Lee, letting out tears at the last part,

Naruto sweat dropped at the sheer usage of the word youth in that sentence before giving an uninterested look and saying,

"Uh, did you say something Lee?"

"Damn you and you hip way naruto!"

And so naruto escaped yet again, wondering what it would take for him to find a normal person to talk in this place, then he noticed the room next to Lee's housed a certain Huygens, Hinata hyuuga,

"Hey, you alright?" Asked naruto standing at the door,

Hinata who was laying on the bed jumped as she heard naruto's voice,

"I-I'm a-alright, n-n-naruto" she stuttered,

"I'm fighting Neji at the finals, don't worry he'll pay" said naruto as he started do walk away, but he was stopped by Hinata,

"No!"

Naruto looked back, his eyebrow raised,

"It's not his fault, he just, doesn't like the main house" said Hinata, then explaining to naruto the story of what happened to Neji's father,

"That, is........unfortunate, I'll try to get something into that thick head of his, but I can't make any promises"

"Thank you" said Hinata,

Naruto stepped out of the door and stopped for a second,

"Also, didn't you notice that throughout the story you never attempted even once? Work on that" with an eye smile naruto left the blistering hyuuga to herself.
