CHAPTER 29

Naruto finally got back home after the first and second part of the chuunin exam as well as a tour of the hospital,

"I'm back!" He announced thinking that either Zabuza or Haku was at home, receiving no reply he started to wander in search of his colleagues,

"Guys? Anyone home?" Then he noticed a sticky note on the fridge, it said

'Going to a mission, come back soon, love you with all my heart,
                                      Haku'

Oh yeah, anko said that she got a mission, wait, wasn't that five days ago? Thought naruto as he hurried back out of the house heading for the hokage tower, once there he didn't stop to address the assistant as he pushed open the door barging in, he found tsunade on the hokage's chair while the hokage was in an armrest in the corner,

"Ah naruto, good work in the exams, I guess I should explain this, I'm considering retirement and I think tsunade would be a good replacement for-" the hokage began to explain but was cut off by naruto,

"Yeah, yeah, couldn't care less, where's Haku?"

"Haku Momoichi? On a mission I recall"

"I mean why is she doing a mission for iwa and what is the mission"

"Well, iwa wants to make a treaty with us, and this mission was given to Haku as an act of good faith, as for the mission, it is to capture a nin who just went rogue, and S class mission"

"WHAT!? You sent a chuunin in an S class mission with no backup?" Naruto snapped, the hokage was quite surprised as he had never seen naruto showing so much emotion before, well at least after the massacre,

"No, well, the mission was given to her personally by iwa, but she has Zabuza with her" reassured the hokage,

"And why isn't she here yet?"

"It's hard to put time limits in these kinds of missions" replied the hokage,

"Ugh, whatever! You better pray that she isn't hurt in any way, or god help me" said naruto as he departed from the hokage tower,

Then naruto went to the one place he visited almost everyday, the hokage monument, he took his usual spot, sitting on the head of his late father,

"How's it been?" Came a voice from behind naruto, naruto didn't even bother to look back already knowing who it was,

"I'm holding on, does the others know about you?" Asked naruto,

"Not yet, Jiraya is inbound tomorrow, sensei is gonna tell them then"

"Good"

"..."

"..."

"I'm glad you're moving on"

"Sometimes it feels wrong, as if I didn't care about them enough"

"You can't blame yourself, it wasn't your fault"

"Can't I? Wasn't it?"

"It was a mistake"

"Well, we'll know soon enough" said naruto, "good night Orichimaru sensei" he said before jumping off the monument,

Orichimaru sat down where naruto was sitting just moments before and looked down at the village, thoughts racing in his mind, all rotated around but one person, naruto,

'There's so much that no-one knows about him, so much pain he hides, so many memories he hide, I'm the only one, the only one who knows his full story, and I can't help him, sensei better pray that nothing happens to that girl of his, in his condition, if something was to happen to her now, there would be hell to pay'

Naruto got his me, took a wash, cooked, ate, and went to sleep, he was woken by the sound of the doorbell, he went to the door in his shinobi clothes, which he never removed, sleeping or awake, opening the door he found himself looking into a mirror, a man that looked exactly like him with the exception of a bit of height was standing there,

"Kakashi-sensei, what servitude doing here this early?" Asked naruto,

"Um I was wondering if I could train you the next month for the finals, and do you sleep in shinobi clothes?" Asked kakashi,

"Well, the training I'm gonna do some self training but I'll come to you later, you should probably train sasuke, and yes I do sleep in these clothes, you can't expect when someone might attack"

With that naruto slamm d the door on kakashi''s face, muttering something about sleep.
