Lonely Guardian of Konoha [Completed]

CHAPTER 23

It was the day, the day of the chuunin exams, many genins could be seen walking towards the building the exams were held in, among the crowd was one pink haired kuinochi and a black haired uchiha, they were waiting for their teammate, the exam was supposed to start in an hour, 8.00 am but luckily they had told naruto that the exam was starting at 5.00 am, they stayed about 10 more minutes and finally their teammate arrived,

"You're late idiot" screamed Sakura,

"Hn" naruto replied without looking away from his precious icha icha.

Sasuke face palmed before leading his team into the building, when they got to the second floor they met with a commotion, two genins were blocking the door, and a few other genin were trying to go through the door. Naruto also noticed a subtle genjutsu that had been placed to make it seem as if it was the third floor, and since the third floor was the floor in which the exams were held these genin were thinking that this was the place.

Naruto was about to ignore it and leave, but sasuke and Sakura also started to quarrel with the genin that were blocking the door, naruto face palmed at having such incompetent teammates, they really didn't notice the obvious genjutsu? Naruto used this time to see the rest of the genin held up here, it was mostly useless genin, but one team caught his attention, it was the team trained by Gai, they had a hyuuga in their team, and the best hyuuga at that, why were they acting as if they didn't notice the genjutsu? Probably trying to get people to underestimate them.

"Yosh, it is my eternal rival, shall we have a duel to see who's flames of youth shine brighter?" Shouted Lee as soon as he saw naruto there,

Naruto was still reading his book and presented bot to hear him, and after a few second he turned the page and looked up, seeing Lee standing there he asked,

"did you say something Lee?"

"Damn you and your hip ways naruto" shouted Lee swinging his arm in the air,

Naruto ignored him and faced Neji Hyuuga, the so called prodigy of the hyuuga clan,

"Stop acting" after the few words naruto returned his oil to his picked before dragging his teammates out of the floor up-to the exam hall.

When they got into the exam hall, they net the rest of the teams that graduated with them,

"So, you guys are here too" said shikamaru Nara lazily,

"Seems like all the rookies are here" replied kiba

"Well, we haven't even been genin for 6 months, I wonder why they put us in this stupid thing" complained sasuke while naruto just found a wall to lean on and he assessed the room while pretending to read his icha icha.

"You should be quiet, your painting a target on your backs" came a voice, the rookie nine turned around to see a white haired leaf nin with glasses,

"And you are?" Asked Sakura

"Call me Kabuto, by the way, if you want any info on any of the genins in this room, ask me" said Kabuto,

"OK then, tell me about Gaara from suna, and naruto uzumaki-uchiha-Namikaze" replied sasuke,

"You need info on your own teammate and brother?" Asked kiba snickering, but that soon stopped after a glare from sasuke,

"Wait, naruto is here?" Asked Kabuto surprised,

"Over here" said naruto making everyone turn to him,

Kabuto's face slowly got red, it was as if he was holding something back, but he couldn't do it anymore as he broke clutching his stomach while laughing his head off,

"Oh my......oh my......god.....Hahaha.....I'm sorry......haha....I ......can't ......take ......it.....haha....kakashi, naruto oh my" Kabul slowly calmed himself down,

"Is he coming?" Asked naruto

"Yeah" replied Kabuto suddenly switching into a serious mood,

"Why?" Asked naruto

"He said he wanted to tell you"

Naruto simply nodded before going back to his corner with his book.

"OK then, the info, Gaara" Kabuto said as he took a pack of cards and pulled one out, "well Gaara of the sand, son of the Kazekage, his skills are unknown, his missions, 10D rank missions, 15A ranks and 20 B ranks"

The shock was evident in everyone's faces, including Kabuto's, but Kabuto soon shook of the shock and continued,

"Naruto Uzumaki-uchiha-Namikaze, son of minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, adopted by the uchiha clan, his skills-" suddenly he was stopped by naruto who caught his arm, he looked into naruto's eye, and nodded a silent agreement between the two, and then he continued, "his ninjutsu and genjutsu basically non-existent, chuunin level taijutsu and chuunin level Fuuinjutsu."

As soon as he finished a loud voice boomed,

"OK brats, find a seat and listen up cause I'm only gonna say this once, my name is Ibiki, and I'm the proctor for the first examination" everyone turned to the voice and found a line of chuunin and a tall man with a headband standing there.
