Lonely Guardian of Konoha [Completed]

CHAPTER 09

It was the day that naruto woke up, and had a nurse almost kill him, after the hokage comforted him, the hokage had left, sending sasuke back to his room and ordering a few ANBU to arrest the attacking nurse.

"Hey kit, you there?" Asked the kyuubi as he dragged naruto into his mindscape.

Naruto who had never been in his own mindscape before was quite confused when he suddenly found himself in a sewer. He could see a gigantic cage in front of him. And in the cage was, well, it was something he expected scone he already knew that it was sealed in him, but still surprised him by its sheer size. A gigantic fox, it's red eyes glowing, and it's nine tails lashing out around it as if they had a mind of their own. Naruto instinctively backed up in face of the beast before him.

"Hey, don't be afraid kit, I won't hurt ya" said the kyuubi in a calm, caring voice.

"Y-you, are you the kyuubi? The monster?" Asked a very scared naruto who was trying his best not to stutter.

"Hey, don't call me a monster, I'm a demon, yes but I'm not some kind of mindless monster" said the kyuubi obviously hurt by the remark.

"But, you killed all those people" reasoned naruto.

"Well, I guess I'll tell you about it, you do know that 13 years ago I attacked the village, but what you don't know is that on that day I was being controlled, controlled by a man that had the same eyes as you, the sharingan, now I also know you are wondering how you have those eyes since you are not related to them, well, I've been controlled by those eyes twice, and I don't intend on a third, so I duplicated the eyes powers and such and implanted it into your DNA structure." Said the kyuubi sounding quite proud.

"What's DNA?" Asked the thirteen year old.

The kyuubi face palmed/pawed "DNA is what makes you you, well anyway, call me kurama, that's my name kiddo, and now we are partners"

"Really? Thanks kurama" said the boy excited, then he remembered the last friend he had, suddenly his excitement vanished.

"Don't think about it much kit, there's nothing you could have done" said the kyuubi reading naruto's thoughts.

"You're right, but I will have my revenge" said naruto sounding determined.

"OK now you'll go to the real world, when you do I want you to go to the hokage, I want to talk to him" said the kyuubi.

Naruto seemed confused, "how are you gonna talk to him?"

"I'll tell you when you get there" said kurama calmly.

When naruto got back to the real world he found himself in the same hospital room as before, he quickly changed into his hated orange jumpsuit that was lying on the bed next to him and ran out heading towards the hokage tower.

When he got there the ANBU at the door stopped him,

"What is your name and state your business"

"Oh, I'm naruto, naruto uchiha, and I need to talk with th hokage."

One of the ANBU went in to inform the hokage and after the hokage had given the order for naruto to come in naruto, well that's obviously he came in.

"Hey old man!, the fox needs to talk to you" said naruto casually.

The hokage deadpanned, how did the kid know about the kyuubi, and did he just say that it wants to talk with him? Does that mean naruto talks with it?

"Wha- how?" Asked the hokage,

"Just give me a minute old man" said naruto while grinning.

"OK, kurama how do I do this?" Asked naruto from kurama inside his mind.

"Just, loosen up, and give me control" said the kyuubi.

Naruto did just that and soon enough he found himself in the sewer where kurama cage was, except kurama was gone.

In the real world, naruto's body had undergone some drastic changes. He had grown fangs and claws, and his once blue eyes were now red with black slits in them, and also his whisker marks for thicker.

"Hello old man, long time". The kyuubi smiled at the hokage who just cowered a bit in fear but tried to hide it.

"Don't worry, the kids just fine, and I'm not gonna do anything, we need to talk, about the kid, what happened recently, and the whole thing with the villagers, well, let's just say it's not leading to a desirable future, the kids been obsessed with revenge for the last couple of days, and that's changing him, so I got a plan, but I need permission, and help"

"W-what is it?" Never in his life did the hokage ever think that the kyuubi ever come to him for permission, or help.

"I want to erase the memory he has with the uchihas, all except sasuke, it'll be as if he was never adopted in the first place, but it'll also be as if sasuke and he were the best friends since childhood, what I need you to do is to make sure he doesn't find out the truth, and also I should tell you, a large outburst of emotion can remove the effect of the memory alteration."

"Very well, as long as it helps the boy cope with it" said the hokage, the hokage knew, if naruto was to walk down a path of revenge, it would lean a dark future for the world.

The kyuubi nodded as the fangs and the claws retracted and his whisker marks became more normal, his eyes were back to their normal ocean blue.

"So, old man, what were you talking about?" Asked an enthusiastic naruto.

The hokage wanting to test if naruto remembered replied "about Itachi"

The hokage knew that isn't naruto remembered about the whole being adopted etc. Affair that the name of Itachi would most certainly his a nerve, but it didn't turn out like the hokage expected, instead of getting angry naruto's mood seemed to go down.

"I'm so sad for sasuke, he doesn't deserve that, I can't imagine what he goes through." Said naruto.

This sealed the deal for the hokage, the boy remembered nothing, he quickly made a few calls telling everyone that naruto was under a genjutsu, and no-one was to mention him being adopted or about his former girlfriend to him. This included his, 'brother' sasuke, and all their other friends, this didn't sir well with sasuke and most of the people, which was not many, but they had no choice. If the hokage ordered, they had to follow.

YO GUYS, I KNOW IM A STUPID IDJIT, I WAS ABOUT TO CHANGE NARUTO'S PERSONALITY THEN AND THERE, BUT, OF COURSE WHERES THE FUN IN THAT RIGHT?
