Ayame's POV
I was far gone by then...
Father knelt in front of me, and I knew what it was that I wanted, I knew what it was that my heart desired: revenge.
For the years of pain and suffering I had locked away. For these past months in which I knew the day would come in which I would be apart from my beloved for so long. For this future they wanted to impose on me. I had always kept it all hidden, not a tear, but now it all came rushing in waves of anger, ever more alight whenever I remembered Edgar disappearing into the flames.
I needed my revenge, not only for me, but for Edgar too.
I did not have control over my own body, my worst emotions guiding me. Not aware of where I was even at the moment, I wanted to stop, but I could not. I could not even think about stopping.
I could not think about anything other than this unquenchable thirst to put my Father through all of the pain he had put me through, but I knew there would never be enough. No matter what I did, it would never be enough.
Almost against my own will, I conjured vines from all over to Father's body, and began to wrap them tightly around him, suffocating him even.
"Maybe I should turn you into a plant, as you wanted to turn me into a wallflower yourself," I said, three voices coming out of my throat.
"What?" Father asked, but as soon as he opened his moth, one of the vines got into him, and began to enter his body, with others cutting into his flesh and others tearing into the corners of his eyes, ready to go into his sockets at any minute.
The sight was grotesque, he would be torn apart soon if I did not stop myself, but all I did was glare as muffled cries came out of him. I wanted to stop, but this anger consumed me, it would not cease to move my arms and hurt.
Where even was Shu? I could not remember. I could not care. I was about to kill my Father.
A sound was then heard from the distance. It was a howl. Actually, there were two very distinct howls coming from the direction of the forest in the garden. These howls, I did not know where they came from, but they gave me some sense of reality, enough so that I could stop what was happening, but not enough to stop the anger that would soon painfully kill him.
Still unreleased, Father whimpered, although he was not being suffocated any longer, but I could not hear him. I heard nothing.
I did not know what to do, I knew that if I moved the little control I had over myself would be lost and I would kill my own Father. It disgusted me but... I knew a part of me wanted him dead. It was this part that I wanted to keep under restrain.
Another howl was heard then, louder, closer. Still, I did not move. I could see however how Father looked fearfully towards where the sound came from. Another howl came in, once again. It was right outside the garden doors, but I could not move my head. I saw how my Father struggled against the vines in vain, as they did not give in, but could not hear his moves, could not hear anything but the steps that were now resounding all over the room. It sounded like the steps of an animal.
Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I did not know who it belonged to, but in the midst of all that was going on, energy came off of me and into the person who had touched me, sending the body flying across the room and colliding with a wall. The discharge of power I had excreted on this person was enough for me to regain full control of my own body, and finally able to move without unleashing, my reflex was to turn around to see who it was that had touched me, paying no attention to the rest of the room at that moment.
Against the wall, sat a man who appeared to be on his late teens or early twenties, with long white hair that had red tips and golden eyes. He resembled Karl Heinz, which made me shiver lightly, but I knew it was not him for his particular way of looking. He wore a collar up to his mouth and his eyes as wide as plates.
"I am so sorry!" I exclaimed, rushing over to him, forgetting all about the situation at present and focusing on the man I had just injured.
"What are you?" he asked me as I neared him, which made me freeze in place.
"What?" I asked him, but the man was not looking at me, he was looking above, at something in the ceiling.
Following his gaze I realized it was... Karl Heinz himself! He was hanged by vines, as were all of the guests. Had I done this?
Karl looked at the man in front of me full of despise, scrutinizing him with his eyes, and the man reciprocated, with a hateful glare. I had no doubt that Karl was able to set himself free from the vines at any minute, but he remained still and chose not to interact with this strange looking man which resembles him so much.
"Shin, lets go, there is nothing for us to do here," said the man with venomous words to someone behind me.
I turned around to see who he was talking to, shocked to find out it was not a who but a what, and at that an enormous orange wolf with... an eye patch? It lurked around Father, circling him slowly, but then directed his eye at me. It was the same shade of gold as that of the man before me and it looked... quizzical.
Quite puzzled myself about the wolves' attire and the bizarreness of the situation but frightened of its presence, I turned my gaze upon the man in front of me once more.
"Grab him if you want, lets just go," he said, to which the wolf howled.
"Grab what?" I inquired, turning once more, very cautiously because of the enormous wolf, only to find it missing along with my Father, the vines which had restrained him before a torn mess on the ground. How had I not heard this?
"WHERE HAVE YOU TAKEN HIM?" I demanded, facing the man again, but he was gone too.
It was only then that I realized where I was standing.
All of the guests of the party hanged above me, held on by vines and other plants. They all looked frightened, scared of me.
Searching the room with my eyes, still confused about all that had happened, I found all of the Sakamaki brothers but the one I was looking for staring at me with wide eyes. They all hanged above, some grabbed by the arms, others by the waist, others just by the legs.
But where was Shu?
