I found Shu perched up against a wall, his head hanging down.

"What have I done?" I whispered, shocked for a moment, and then rushed forward towards the man I loved, who I had probably injured.

"Shu!!" I screamed at him. "Shu!!"

While running, I swayed an arm in the air, releasing him from the vines that held him, making sure he was lowered down gently. I reached him as soon as his body touched the ground, throwing myself to the ground to hold him.

"Shu!" I repeated as I shook him gently at first, then violently noticing he was not responding.

His eyes were closed, his face so peaceful and beautiful it scared me greatly. Had I done this to him? I lay his hear on my bent knees, caressing his hair gently.

"Shu open your eyes!!! Please!!" I said my voice catching lightly in my throat. "Please, I love you..." I begged, closing my eyes.

"I never doubted it, my love," said the voice which I most longed to hear.

I instantly opened my eyes and looked down at a smiling Shu, who extended a hand to caress my cheek, as he had done so many times before. I leaned into it reflexively, relaxing under his touch.

"Shu, thank goodness, are you alright? Are you injured?" I inquired, scanning him up and down with my eyes. "I am so sorry..."

"Nothing to apologize for, no injuries at all, I might have passed out due to exhaustion, even I get like that sometimes" he smiled, and then he sat up briskly, turning to me and looking all over my body.

"Damn it I lost sense of where I was for a minute. Are you alright? What happened to your Father?" he asked me, turning my head sideways, looking for any sort of injury I might have sustained, but fining none.

"I am not entirely sure, he was there and then there was this man-" I tried to explain.

"What man?!" Shu demanded, his eyes going to my own, and I could not help but melt within their beautiful blue shade for a second.

"I do not know," I answered.

"I do, Ayame dear," said the Vampire King from behind and above us. "Interesting company, the one you keep. I lam very impressed with your new power, " he smiled menacingly. "Even I cannot break this bonds easily, it will still take a while for me to untie myself. Worry not dear, I shall come and get you, and you too, son," Karl grinned. He looked like a complete madman, which made me really nervous as to what he would do once he was free.

"Get away from her!" Shu defended me, trying to stand before me but too weak still to do so, falling to his knees as I grabbed him by the shoulders to steady him.

In my sudden desperation, I twisted my hands and purple flowers exploded from the vines holding the Vampire King, releasing a strange pollen-like substance that made him cough and then lose consciousness, apparently, as did at least 10 people that hanged near him, coincidentally two of them being Beatrix and Cordelia.

"What did you just do?" asked Shu, looking at the limp body of his Father, the greatest vampire, not yet believing he had been put to sleep.

"I have no idea," I said, not believing it myself.

"She summoned a flower with the strongest sleep inducing substance known to any realm, it is supposed to be extinct," said a very familiar silver haired boy, who hanged just above me and Shu from his torso.
