where are you taking us?

Colbys POV

i got an instant thought. i got out of bed and actually shower for once, i put on something nice and went and got the girls. i had them get everything they had. we got into my car and they both look at me confused and then finally Natalia speaks up

"where are you taking us?" she asks confused and kinda scared. she had Cassidy under her arm comforting her. 

"were going to find you a real home" there eyes open wide with suprise and they have a smil on there faces but they quickly fade away and cassidy is no longer silent. 

"but we like it here" i put my head down a little trying to focus on the road and not there sad faces. 

"i know, but you aren't gonna be here much longer anyways. this will save you from some of the pain."  a tear slips down my cheek at the thought of pain.

"what pain colbs?" they have no idea of he pain and i dont want then to know. 

"all of it" and with that last response, i pulled into the child services center. we all get out of the car and i take there hands. 

we walk in and the place is empty besides a girl at the front desk. we walk up and she looks at the girls then me and smiles then a tear slips down her cheek.

"how may i help you" she says wiping the tear away. i start crying becuase i know what im about to do and these girls are gonna go through a lot of change, and change is hard... i know about that myself. 

"i need t find these girls a permanent home" the lady smiles and hands me a clipboard with paper on it. me and the girls take a seat at a table and the ladt comes and sits with us to help me fill the stuff out.

"hi im Caroline, and who are these beautiful little girls" i look at the girls to introduce themselves.

"im natalia and this is my sister cassidy" the lady smiles and looks at me

"im colby" i say before looking back at the girls and smiling

"why are you here? if its oaky i ask" caroline looks from the girls to me and back. a tear slips down my face at the thought of my girlfriend but i get ready to speak but befre i can the girls are giving me a giant hug because they know its hard for me. 

"my girlfriend, she found them in the woods locked in a cabin. there dad was gonna kill them but my girlfriend risked her life to get them out, and she did the guy chaseed them but she got them into the car and brought them home"

"omg thats horrifying, did they find the dad, are you guys okay, is your girlfriend okay?"

"he was arrested, they are okay i hope, and my girlfriend, she was okay but she committed suicide..." i close my eyes and fight back the tears. i force a smile on my face 

"she died fighting for others, but she forgot to fight for herself"

"im so sorry for your lose, she sounds like an amazing girl its sad she had to leave that way"

"thank you" she smiles at me

"would you like help filling out the papers" 

"yes please"

i handed Caroline the paperwork and she immediately got up and went into the back office. me and the girls sat and waited for her to come back, which didn't take long maybe 10 minutes before she was back in our presence. 

she smiled and told me to check my email. i do as she says and i got an email with a list of parents.

" so we have 3 out if the  5 that are available to meet the girls tomorrow, can you make that happen?"

"ya, ya, umm just let me know where im meeting each one and me and the girls will be there."

"okay i will send you a text and let you know what parents on the list are free, the email gives you all the info you need for each parent"

"okay thank you, see you tomorrow then?"

"yup" me and the girls walk out and

---the next day meeting with the first parents---

"dont be scared, be open, be yourself, don't be sad, not everything works out, and always remember that your amazing" i say to the girls before we walk into the ice cream shop we were meeting them at.
