I walk alone. It's quite dark for 8pm. I'm halfway there when I feel arms wrap around my waist.
"what the fuck! get off get off !" I yell in shock.
"Jesus calm down it's just me!" He says smiling, I roll my eyes and continue walking.
"You excited for tonight?" Billy says putting his arm round my shoulder.
"Not really you and the rest forced me I probably will just sit in the corner drinking" he chuckles at my sarcasm.
Then we here a distant sound of laughter and he runs up ahead.
By the time I finally reach the group their all drinking and laughing.
I jog up to the drunk group.
"Hey Carrots" they all scream as they run up to me.
"You guys are already wasted!!" i shake my head at them as they all scream and shout.
"Yes we are!"
"I'm not tho" a voice behind me says
I turn and there's Gilbert who has just jumped out of his car he's looking extra handsome tonight in a tight black shirt and some jeans.
"Thank god the cars here" I say as he stares at me.
We all go to the car, I get shotgun as I didn't want to be in between that mess called 'my friendship group drunk'.
Once we pull up to Moodys (after a very long and traumatic drive) we all pile out of the car and scramble inside. Most of them go to get more boos and others go straight to the dance floor.
I go for the boos I'm going to need a drink if I'm going to survive the night.
One hour later:
I'm drunk to say the least and I'm dancing with everyone on the dance floor we're all screaming and having fun.
Two hours later:
We all decide to play spin the bottle which if I wasn't drunk I would not agree to.
Diana goes first and she gets Charlie
They kiss.
Then it's Jerry's turn he gets Tilly
They kiss.
It goes on . Then suddenly it's Gilbert's turn. He spins the bottle it goes round and round and round
Then it stops. On....
Ruby.
I watch and she jumps up smiling, he doesn't seem as thrilled. He gazes at me for a split second and our eyes meet.
He gives Ruby a light peck but she grabs him and tries to do more.
The crowds cheers
But he pulls away looking disgusted.
Then it's my turn
It lands on Billy.
I start sweating
My first kiss
Billy Andrews
Josie snarls from across the room.
He smirks and leans into me. I give a light peck and he blushes. I felt so odd but I was drunk so that's probably why.
A few moments later:
We decide to play truth or dare
"Diana truth or dare?"
"Dare"
"Do the fortnight dance"
"ew why."
"Charlie"
"Truth"
"Are you a virgin?"
"Yes but Billys not"
Everyone gasps.
Soon it comes to be my turn
"Anne truth or dare?"
I don't think much I just blurt out
"Dare"
"Make out with Gilbert"
I glare at Josie who is smirking she is just trying to get back at me for kissing Billy
We both stand up both blushing and grinning at each other
Probably because we are both drunk not at all because we want to kiss.
As he leaned it closer I could feel his breath against my face
"I'm going in" he whispered
—stranger things reference—
And then are lips touched
Softly at first but then became harder and more passionate he cupped my cheeks and I ran my fingers through his hair
It was amazing
Then a sudden jolt of memory came to me .
It was a game.
I pulled back suddenly turning bright red ran off upstairs.
