Chapter Sixteen

Sammy's POV

I let Paiton in and we sat down at the edge of my bed . She was looking down the whole time , so I decided to start the conversation . " So .. what brings you around this part of the hotel ? " I asked . She breathed out and stared into my eyes , her green orbs darkened slightly . " I wanted to talk .. about us " Paiton said quietly . My heart dropped . This was about to end bad . " You and Carter are about to be together , huh ? " I asked in a whisper . She bit her lip and nodded , looking down at her hands . " I'm really sorry if I led you on , even in the slightest bit . I just wanted to give you a chance & I didn't know my feelings for Carter were this strong . I'm so sorry . I hope we can still be fr- " I clenched my fist in frustration . " Don't even say it " I yelled . Paiton was taken back a bit because her eyes got wide . " I hope we can still be friends " I mocked her voice and scoffed . " What if I don't want to be just friends with you , huh ? What if I like you as much as Carter likes you ? " I raged . Paiton's eyes began to water but she blinked the tears away . " But he's THE Carter Reynolds , he gets everything he wants right ? Millions of girls throwing themselves at him . He can get anyone he wants ! " I continued . I sighed and pressed my lips together . " Don't come back to me when he throws you out for someone else . He's a womanizer . I tried to save you from getting hurt , but I guess you're too blind to see who he actually is " I finished . Paiton stood up and grabbed the closest thing to her - a full waterbottle - and threw it at my face . I was shocked that she was angry , all I said was the truth . " Well ya know what ?! I won't come back to you , EVER . He won't hurt me , the last thing he'd ever want to do to me ! I love him , he loves me . I'm not letting you inbetween us ! He isn't a womanizer just because he can get more girls than you , either . That's a personal problem . Dick " She yelled at me . Then , she grabbed her things and slammed my door shut behind her . I threw my head back and yelled , punching the wall beside me .

Carter's POV

I made my way down the hallway and squatted infront of Sammy's door . I waited for a few minutes , then I pressed my ear against it and listened quietly . I heard Paiton yelling . " Well ya know what ?! I won't come back to you , EVER . He won't hurt me , the last thing he'd ever want to do to me ! I love him , he loves me . I'm not letting you inbetween us ! He isn't a womanizer just because he can get more girls than you , either . That's a personal problem . Dick " I smiled widely . She told Sammy that she loved me . She really does believe in us . I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt someone pull me up and smash their lips against mine . I grabbed their waist and tried to push them away , but they were sucking my face . I tried to figure out who it was but their hair was in their face , covering it . I didn't kiss back , but continued to push them . Suddenly , I heard a door slam and jumped . Finally , the person pulled away from me . I looked infront of me and saw Madison with a smirk on her face . I looked beside me and saw Paiton with a blank expression . I thought she'd be mad , but she walked up to Madison and punched her in the nose . I heard the crack and flinched , looking away . When i looked back up at her , her nose was bleeding badly and a little crooked . " Dont you EVER try to come between me and my boyfriend you skanky ass whore . Got it ? " Paiton growled . Madison nodded quickly and ran back down the hallway . I stared at Paiton and she shared my gaze . She looked like she was about to cry . I opened my arms up and she walked into them , hugging me tightly . I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her head . " I love you . You know that right ? " She said , muffled by my shirt . I smiled a little bit . " Of course i do baby . I love you too " I said . She sniffed and pulled away . Her makeup was smudged and her eyes were glossy . " Promise ? " She said , her voice cracking . I nodded and wiped the runny makeup & tears away from her eyes . " Promise " I whispered , kissing her nose softly .
