Chapter Eighteen

I changed into a black floral romper , white sandals , and put a cute silver necklace around my neck . I curled my hair to give it beachy waves & put on concealer , eyeliner , and mascara . " Babe , I'm done " I said , looking at myself in the mirror . Carter walked behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist before looking in the mirror at us . " You look beautiful " He smiled , kissing my neck softly . I blushed and looked at his outfit . He was wearing a black t-shirt , jeans , and of course a matching SnapBack . His black sunglasses were in his hand . " You don't look too bad yourself , Mr.Reynolds " I smiled . Suddenly , the room door opened . I looked over and saw the guys flood in . " Where've you guys been ? " Carter asked Cam , unwrapping his arms from around me . Cam just smirked and looked down at the ground . " Cam has been flirting with some random girl all day & dragging us around with them " Nash rolled his eyes . Cam looked up and punched Nash's arm . " I wasn't flirting ! And she isn't just a random girl , her name is Anna " He blushed lightly and looked back down at the ground . I walked over to him and pinched his cheeks . " Oh , does wittle Cammy have a crush ? " I said , in a baby voice . The guys laughed and Cam smiled , grabbing my waist and throwing me over his shoulder . I groaned and yelled at him . " Put me down ! " I yelled . I grabbed the top of his boxers and pulled them up , giving him a wedgie . Cam winced and dropped me . I landed on my butt with a thump and began laughing . " Damn , that looked like it hurt " Carter grinned . " It literally went all the way up his butt " Matt laughed . I just grinned and stood up , walking back over to Carter and lacing my fingers with his . " You ready babe ? " I asked , sweetly . He nodded and put his shades on . " We're going out " He said . We walked to the door and he stopped for a second . He reached up to the fan and grabbed my phone , handing it to me . I gladly took it out of his grasp & we walked out .

Carter's POV

Paiton and I strolled along the beach hand in hand . " Babe , can we go get ice cream ? " She asked , giving me the puppy-dog look . I kissed her cheek . " Anything for my baby " I smiled widely . We walked along the sidewalk and walked into a small little ice cream parlor . Nobody was inside , so it was absolutely perfect . " Chocolate Cone please " I order to the man behind the counter . " And for you ? " The man asked Paiton , who was texting away on her phone . She looked up and apologized . " Vanilla Cone " She said . The man totaled up the cost . " 10$ please " He said . Paiton reached for her wallet but instead , I grabbed my money and put it on the table . " I could've payed " She mumbled . I shrugged . " Everything's on me tonight babe " I said . We got our cones and sat at a booth , beside eachother . Paiton rested her feet on the seat infront of us and continued texting . I glanced over and saw her DMing someone on twitter .

" So you and Carter ? " A girl named Kayla asked

" Yeah ☺️ He's so amazing , I wish he'd just ask me out already 😫 " Paiton typed .

I smiled widely and licked my ice cream . Paiton locked her phone and set it on the table , before licking her ice cream . " So , you want me to ask you out ? " I asked , with a grin . Her eyes widened and her face turned bright red . " Psh , no ! " She lied , her voice going high at the end . I nodded my head but smiled a little bit . " You're such a bad liar " I stated . Paiton pushed me lightly and buried her face in my neck . " It's not nice to stalk me ya know " She mumbled . I rolled my eyes and wrapped an arm around her waist . " I was just wondering who was more important to me " I fake pouted . Paiton smiled and leaned up , kissing me softly . She pulled away with a smile , her green eyes sparkling . " She isn't more important than you , trust me " She said . I nodded my head and pinched her side lightly . Paiton jumped up and I stood up , before holding my hand out for her . She grabbed it and we walked out of the parlor . " So me and the guys are gonna go to a studio to listen to Shawn . Do you wanna come ? We're going at like 8 " I said . She nodded her head and smiled . We walked for a while and then froze . Sammy and Madison makingout on the side of a building . I looked over at Paiton and her face was pale .
