Paiton's POV
I stared into Carter's dark brown eyes that were full of guilt . After a few moments , he sat down at the edge of my bed . He ran a hand through his messy hair and looked back at me , before sighing .
" Paiton , I'm really sorry . I just saw you flirting with Shawn and it just made me jealous , ok ? The thought of me loosing you breaks my heart and I never want you to leave me . I love you and I was just looking out for us . I didn't want him hitting on you .... I'm sorry babe " Carter spilled , biting his lip at the end .
I felt all tingly inside . He told me he loved me once again . I wanted to forgive him and kiss him and everything to be okay . But my mind wanted different .
" he hurt you "
" but he loves you "
" you're in the hospital because of him "
" it was just an accident " I thought .
" Carter , Im in the hospital because of you and your jealousy . You need to control it or else I'll be back here again . You hurt me , forgot that I was even alive and breathing for like 5 minutes . You can't act like sorry will make everything okay , because it won't " I breathed .
His eyes got glossy and he looked away . " S-so you don't love me back ? " He whispered , biting his lip slightly . I inhaled deeply . What was I suppose to say ? I mean I love him , but we just met a week or two ago .
" I've been thinking about that answer . I know I've said that I loved you in the past , but then I realized that we just met a few weeks ago . It's impossible to love someone that fast and- "
" I believe in love at first sight . Because that's exactly how I fell for you " Carter interrupted .
I felt like my heart was about to burst . " And I don't think that I can tell you that , not yet anyways . You're a great guy and I like you a lot , but let's just act like normal friends . With DigiTour starting tomorrow , I just want to be focusing on my fans " I finished .
Carter stared into my eyes . I saw a small tear run down his cheek but he wiped it away reluctantly . Then , he nodded his head and stood up . He kissed my forehead .
Right before he was about to leave , he stopped in his tracks . " I'll wait for you Paiton , as long as it takes " He said . And with that , he walked out of the room .
