Azalea's POV

There is beauty in different colors. Seeing it explodes like a firework makes it more magical. I thought it can only be seen. I never thought that fireworks can also be felt.

I know, because that's what I'm feeling right now.

I've never been this dumbfounded in my life. I cannot move nor say a word. What Braxon said caught me off guard... in a good way.

"You... What?" I whisper. I don't know if he heard what I've said.

"Azalea... I'm in love with you... Please, don't leave me here..." His eyes were begging.

I tried to laugh to hide my surprise, but my laugh was too forced in my opinion.

Good job, Aza.

I am mentally fighting myself while I think of another way to loosen up the situation. We're outside our house, in an open-air, but the intensity is very much suffocating.

Another thing is that I'm confused right now. Is he only saying this because he wants me to stay here and talk to him? Or did he really mean what he said?

"Braxon..." I struggle to find the right words. "Why are you telling me this now?"

He took three small steps that ate the distance between us.

"I don't want to lose my chance, Azalea."

Again, I was caught off guard by his sincerity. He looks really sad yet hopeful right now. But I couldn't miss the spark of determination in his eyes.

"Azalea, who's out there?"

My eyes widen at the thought of my dad seeing Braxon right now—almost begging in front of me. I was about to stop him from coming out, but I was too late. He's already looking at Braxon intently.

I know my dad is a smart man.

"Good evening, sir." Braxon was brave enough to meet my father's eyes.

He's not even scared of my dad. Walang makikitang takot sa kaniya habang maayos siyang nakatayo ngayon sa harap namin. His pleading eyes are now gone.

"You must be Azalea's suitor, am I correct?" My dad strictly asked.

"Yes, sir," Braxon says with pride. He answered my dad's question as if that was the greatest thing he's done in his life.

"Azalea," my father called without looking at me. "Why don't you invite your 'suitor' over dinner? We have so many things to talk about."

Napalunok ako. They are both too serious for my liking. And I can't understand why my dad asked me to invite Braxon if he can do it himself. I mean, Braxon is just in front of us.

"Uhh... would you... join us?" I awkwardly asked Braxon.

Braxon managed to tear his eyes away from my dad's. His sight once again focused on me as a small smile appeared on his lips.

"It will be my pleasure..."
