The next day during first period all I could think about was what the keeper of the Black gem might be like. Finally at lunch I was able to share all the possibilities of this with my friends.
“So our best guess is a antisocial person?”
“Yup. With all that darkness inside the keeper they must be that kind of person, and rumor has it if you pass by dark source you get a chill of fear down your spine!”
“So what we just walk around a ton of people and Ta-Da we found our girl?” Asked Hunter with doubt in her voice.
“I’ve got an idea of three of spots that she could be hiding out in!” Says Maddie. “Where?!”
“I’ll check outside by the bleachers , Hunter you check out the Technology Room and Emmy you can go to the Library. We’ll all meet up at our lockers and if by chance you find her than…..well.. I don’t know…-”
“Just in case something like this ever happened I made these. They're ear pieces we can talk to each other on them. But be careful it took me a long time to perfect these! Okay we all know the plan right?”
“RIGHT!!!”
“Let’s go!”
The Librarian down right creeps me out. It feels like the Librarian just stares me down. Ugh. Might as well check out the book’s here, it’s better than doing nothing. I thought to myself.
“Hmm...Exploring Science and Technology”

After I checked out the book I just wandered the library probably looking dumb since I’ve never actually been in one, because I’ve always been afraid of going somewhere without Hunter, she doesn't know but once or twice it’s like I lost control over myself and there was nothing left of me but animal…..the thought of it happening during class or if someone sees me like that. It’s what keeps me up at night. I was so deep into my thoughts I didn’t realize I was walking straight into someone. I bumped us both into a neatly stacked tower of books. But luckily I didn’t attract to much attention since I was in the very back of the library.
“I’m so,so Sorry! I didn’t see you and I um-”
“It’s fine.”The girl says somewhere in between mad and annoyed.
As the girl rushed past me I felt cold chill run down my spine. This couldn’t be the black gem could it?
“Excuse me but I was wondering if you wanted to umm….” I started to play with my necklace knowing she would notice my gem.I went light headed and started to feel dizzy. Everything was a blur.. Then everything slowly went black.
“Where am I?”
All I could see is black.
“Who are you and where did you get that necklace!” A voice demanded.
“Your her aren’t you, the Keeper of the Black Gem? So must know the prophecy.”
“What do you want?”
“Listen I don’t know your name is but I’m Emmy, the keeper of the Green gem. We need you, you can’t deny this. It’s what you were born for. Listen I know It’s hard for you and you probably wish you didn’t have to carry the burden of the black gem. But don’t let that drag you down. I know this hole of darkness and fear seems to deep climb but let me help you find your way out. You know they're our two others and the longer it takes to get to them the harder it will be for them to control they're power. So please just think about it . We can help you and you can help us.”
The darkness disappeared and I was back in the Library. The girl stood by my side. “I’m Scarlet and I am the keeper of the the black gem. So I assume it’s not just you?”
“You assume right.”
