Only on more class and I’m finally free!! Scarlet walked next to me, “Not really, you do know we have school tomorrow, so your really not ‘free’.” I noticed she used quotation marks around free.
“Remind me not to think of anything embarrassing around you.” I kept walking and looked at the wall, they're was a poster for prom, the 15th.
“I never realized how close we are till prom night. Are you guys going?”
“Are you?”
“What if Kitsune tries to attack?” Hunter added.
“Attack what?” I asked.
“She just doesn’t want to wear a dress.” Emmy smirked.
“When’d you get here?”
“Science just ended, so the hot topics today's prom?”
“Yup. You going?”
“Why not? I mean it’s the first school dance we go to, plus I hear there's going to be a great DJ! Do you think she'll take request?” Emmy giggled.
“Am I missing something? Hunter asked.
“I’m the DJ! So you better not leave me being the only one they're!” I say elbowing her in the shoulder.
“Fine, fine. I’ll go, but not for my own joy.” The bell rang.
“All the teachers have a staff meeting now. Student’s should report to the Library, Field or Cafeteria, you all must remain on campus until the last bell rings, that's 45 minutes. Thank you.” It’s the loudspeaker, AKA our principal.
“So free time!” I say cheerfully, “What our we going to do?”
“We’ll stay with the animals until the final bell rings.”
“Good idea Em’s!”
There was one small alleyway in our school, super hard to get to and super hard to find. Once you get in though it’s a pretty big. All of us climbed down the sides of the school and made our way into the ally. Melody hopped into my lap. Everyone's phone dinged at once, it’s Max, he says he has really important news.
“We could leave and head back to H.Q?”
“To riskey. What if Max just comes here?”
“I’ll text him…..he’s on his way. What do you think the news is?” Angel asked.
“I dunno, it could be anything.” As I spoke I heard a clunking coming from the roof above us, “I that him?” Then I heard a huge thud.
“Anddd that's him.” Hunter smiled when she said that.
“Whats the news?”
“We found our Protector.”
“Your lying, right?” Emmy says happily.
“Nope.”
“Well?” Hunter says.
“Well what?”
“Well, where is the Protector?
“Please, please tell me your lying! This is not happening! N. O.” Hunter says, she’s right. There's no way the guy who works with Kitsunes’ becoming our Protector!
“If he works with Kitsune.” Scarlet looked at me, “Sorry, couldn’t help it….” She’s referring to the fact of reading my thoughts, once again.
“Absolutely not! Did you all forget the fact that a second ago he was considered a enemy?! But now that we know he’s a ‘Protector’ he’s allowed on the team? Is that really a smart idea?” Hunter continued.
