“Where’d it go!?” I was covered in sweat and blood, who knew taking on a giant demon dragon thing could be so tiring.
“Huh huh, I-I dunno?” Emmy says out of breath Max comes from behind her.
“Where is it!? Tell me it’s gone?”
“It’s gone all right! But for how long, I don’t know.” Max collapse to the floor Emmy and I run over.
“You oka-”
“I-Im...just gonna stay here...for a little...while…” I gave Emmy a questioning glance.
“Max?”
“I’m fi-m-mons-MOVE!” My body felt like I was put in a freezer, a very cold freezer. I opened my eyes, Emmy and I were stuck in a block of ice, Wait...where's Max?!
“NOOO!” I heard Emmy scream, then saw what she was seeing.
The reason Max had pushed us and made us into an ice cube because he was trying to warn us but we didn’t know soon enough so Max pushed us out of the way, saving us from the dragon. I looked, Max shakely stood ready to face the demon but it was no match against him. With one swipe of its claw he was sent flying high through the dark skies, the was a loud crack and shatter as he crashed into twenty storey office building. The thought killed me that the swipe might have killed him. I looked at Emmy, her face was consumed with anger and tears. There was a bright green glow a millions of vines appeared around Emmy, the vines grew large spikes as she screamed they headed straight toward the devil. Her eyes were white with tears dripping and falling. I needed to help Emmy, out of the corner of my eye I saw a huge glow of reds and yellows.
An explosion.
“Maddison!”
“Huh? Scarlet?”
“YES! Now are you sure there's a person inside they're?”
“Ummm, Kitsune mentioned it, I’m kinda in the middle of something! Get over here now! Fight with Emmy, I need to check on something! Hurry up!”
A portal opened up next to me, Scarlet walked out she nodded and stood by Emmys side.
I ran as fast as I could towards the building I kept running until I felt something sharp poke the bottom of my shoe,“Glass, bingo.”
I made my way to the entrance when I heard something.“Kitsune!” I blasted her with my powers.
“Dude! We’re on the same team!”
“Hunter! I’m so glad to see you! I thought Kitsune killed you?
“Wow, I can see you have a whole lot of faith in me.” I smiled, it felt like forever since I’d done that.
“Max, I think he’s up they're.”
“What are we waiting for? Hold on.” She grabbed my waist and we blasted off with her fire, sorta like a jet pack?
“They're!” I pointed to the broken glass leaving a gape in the building.
“Careful this could be a set up, stay quiet.” She says whispering to me.
We quietly stepped down the hall then heard a beep. Our eyes quickly diverted to the elevator. The two door separated as they opened, to figures stepped out.
“Is your task finished?”
“Yes, I just have to meet J-” The figure slapped the other.
“He would be so disappointed in you, as I too am. Your mission is not complete then is it?”
“No.”
“Well then you better start working on it. I’m sure that little friend of your wouldn’t want to end up like Toxin? He may be part of the Z Team but I won't hesitate to cut his strings if I have to. Understood?
“Yes-wait. Theres a soul.”
“Fading? Where?”
“Over there-” I grabbed the figures hands and Hunter set here arm aflame as she held it close to the person.
“If this dudes a important as you make him sound then I would show yourself.” The figure stepped into the light, as we still held the person captive.
“Kitsune!” I say.
“Oh don’t sound so surprised.”
“Tell me what you did with Tom or I’ll kill-”
“Why don’t you see who you’ll be killing that is?” Hunter put her hand next to the figures face. Tom. But his eyes were no longer scar’d, but one long scar ran down his right eye. His eyes are vibrant green. What? Is this Tom? But how? Could it be him? Or is it all a trick?
“Tom?” 'Tom' ran towards the window and jumped through it they're was a huge shatter as the glass broke.
“Well, see you next time.” Kitsune dispaered in smoke.
“We have to-” I looked at her, “Okay, Max first.”
“MAX!” “Helloooo..” "Anybody hear?" "Max, wear are you?" We kept calling out until we heard a moan.
“Max!!” I ran over, “Your not dead!”
“S-so ni-nice…” The started to cough and wezee, “W-we need t-to go h-help.”
“No way, do you see yourself?”
“W-we have to do this….to-together.” I was about to say he couldn’t when I hear loud sounds.
“They're here, we need to go!”
“Whos here?”
“J.A.D.E.”
“Oh no...Max, you think you could create a slide like thing out of ice?”
“Uhh..y-yeah..”
“Let’s get to it.”
