I woke up to the sound of Maddison's irritating trumpet once more. She really does keep her promises I thought. I looked in my closet and grabbed my school uniform, once dressed and ready I headed towards the hangout, that's what we call the room with the kitchen and space table. I picked up my backpack and sat at the counter.

"So Maddie, what would you say if that trumpet of yours magically disappeared?"

"I would say, good luck making your own breakfast!"

"Fair enough." I heard a crash from the hall, "Bet you Max tripped on the step!"

"Uhh noooo, I'm right here." Max says from the couch giving me a you-really-need-to-stop-guessing-it's-me-all-the-time look.

"Then whos that?" I ask. Maddison and I walk towards the entrance, Tom lay they're in a daze, tangled up in his backpack.

"And I thought Max was the clumsy one." He grumbled something under his voice and walked past me.

"Breakfast!" Emmy calls, she holds a pink box in her hand.

"Score!" Maddie says running before me.

"Jeez, are you stocking up for winter?" Scarlet asks Maddison who now holds five doughnuts in her arms.

"Maybe?" We laugh at Scarlets snarky comment. I see Tom out of the corner of my eye, he's not off the hook, I still don't fully trust him. He tried to kill Emmy and I can't let that go.

"So, where exactly do you live?" The question seems to catch him off guard.

"Why do you-" He's interrupted by Angel, she asked me if we could talk in private, but Tracy interrupts her.

"Hunter, come with me. The rest of you get to school." The others walked out.

"Whats up?"

"Do you trust him?"

"No, not really, why?"

"Well I just was wondering your thoughts on him, there's still a chance he works with Kitsune."
"Hmmm....well he's a little...umm, well odd. He definitely has connection to Kitsune, so I dunno. It's really a fifty-fifty. Oh and I was wondering about, you know....the other team. If you don't wanna talk about it-"

"No, no, it's fine. What do you want to know?"

"What happened?"

"The Keepers and I were fighting off the Z Dragon trying to protect citizens, but we were all tried and injured but we kept up our fight, the Keeper of your stone told Victoria and I to help the people as we did my sister realized the dragon was just a distraction and the Red Foxs' plan was playing out exactly how he wanted. She ran into the scorching, raging flames that lead to the top of the building, where he was planning to launch his weapon any moment, I remember screaming her name, tears running down my cheeks praying she would come back. But she didn't, when I turned around the Keepers had caught the dragon though it wouldn't last. With one swipe of it's mighty paw a building shook, it would have killed hundreds but the brave Keepers did their job, they saved everyone. Once the dust cleared I realized the cold hard truth, my sister wasn't coming back and the Keepers were gone. In this building they're a monument for the Keepers and as for my sister in the cemetery we have a tombstone with no writing, no name, no nothing, she used to have this joke where if she died she wouldn't want anything on her tombstone because she was a ninja. Before we even knew about the whole Protectors thing she'd call herself a ninja, so when we became Protectors the whole team used to play along with are little childhood joke." She gave a weak smile.
