I stared into the depths of the forest, Angel and I were on a hunt for some dude named Toxin.
“You see anything?”
“No, but we won’t if you don’t stop whispering!” I gave her a dirty look, she really knows how to get on my nerves. “What does he look like anyway?”
“I dunno? Emmy said that whenever they've seen him or been after him he always hide in the shadows, they've never actually seen his face. It’s like he does it on purpose.”
“He probably does and Kitsune has to have something to do with it-” She looked at me wondering what had stopped me.
“Wha-” I put my hand over her mouth and started to have a telepathic conversation.
“What’d you hear?”
“Something is around us, I can feel its presence and a great deal of demonic force too. Do you see anything?”
“No-wait! Over there! Hold on why’d you say it?” She pointed to the right side of me, a few feet away was a dark shadowy figure looming behind a tree.
“Because whatever it is, it's not human! I’m going to use my powers to build a wall around it, then you hurry in a cuff it with these.” I held out special cuffs that Emmy gave me, Angel took them and nodded.
“One….Two...Three”
I leaped into the night sky, quickly gathering all my strength and concentration to make the plan work.
“llaw, emoc no, llaw! Sey!” I did it, I’d created a wall surrounding him, the rest was up to Angel, she flew in.
“What, where’d he, what? OW!”
“What happened? Are you okay?” I asked confused.
“Your all to easy to fool. It’s quite the show to be honest.” The voice sounded a little familiar but I couldn't put my finger on who it sounded familiar from.
“What happened?!
“I dunno!! The thing cut me with something! And he certainly sounds human.”
“Toxin.”
“Pfft, don’t make me laugh. Pla-ese, I’m not that idiot, plus he’s dead.” A new voice says.
“What?” Angel says just as confused as I am.” Then who is-how?
“Let’s just say Kitsune had other ideas. If only he would have done as he was told, but he failed and Kitsune isn’t a fan of failures, so they're was a slight change in the plan.”
“Who are you?”
“I could ask you the same. Who are you?” Okay this guys almost as irritating as Tom. Suddenly the forest filled with voices, all asking the same
question, “Who are you?” I stand corrected he’s just as irritating as Tom, if not more. I look to Angel whos kneeling on the floor her face in her hands.
I bend down, “Angel?” She immediately looks at me, her eyes glowing red. I trip as I try to stand and slowly began to back away.
“Ah, so her names Angel, what a pretty name.” The moonlight gleamed in his face, I still couldn't see very well but I could see a wicked grin. I turned to Angel her eyes, still red. She pulled out her bow and arrow, aimed right at me. Oh no….
“Uh Angel?” I shakly ask while slowey steping back.
“Miss Angel works for me now, come along.” She looked at the creep, Angel spread her wings and carried him into the night sky.
“NOOO!” I began to use my powers to fly, from a distance I could see two figures. Bingo!
Before I had a second to even process what was happening I was falling through the dark skies, I tried to move but I was tangled in something. I looked down, there was no way I could survive this. No. Way. As I braced myself for impact I was greeted by a familiar face.
“Emmy!”
“You okay?”
“Yeah, but-”
“Angel, I know.”
“Where's Max?”
“I was going to ask you the same.”
“What happened?”
“When we arrived Max and I rushed to the bank, but it was a trick, Dr. Ill hadn’t ever been they're. Kitsune must have hacked into the Mainframe and created false recording triggering the alarm. Max and I went inside to investigate, he took the backroom and I took the front room. A few minutes in he called my name, he said he found something. But the next time he said my name, his voice was shaky and distraught, he needed my help but when I got they're this was the only thing there, was this.” She held out a pair of surgical scissors stuck in a note, “I was stuck in the wall.”
I read the note out loud, “I think I’ll borrow him for a little while, if he’s still alive you can have him when I’m done.-Dr. Evil, jokes on you. Any ideas?”
“Wherever Max is-”
“Angel is.” I finished her sentence, “We need to get the others, I’ll get Hunter you get Maddie. Hunter, something's wrong.”
“Do you know where she is?”
“Not at the prom, let me try something.” I closed my eyes a mumbled, a black bird and two black spirits came out from a portal.
“D-demons?”
“I prefer spirits, they work for me. Now go find her and report.” I turned back to Emmy, “Maddisons still they're, but the Dr.Ill seems to be they're too, you better get going.” I opened two portals, one for me and one for her, she looked at me.
“I’ll meet you at H.Q.” I nodded and jumped in my portal, we I got they're I saw Hunter hanging off a roof, Tom her only support, Kitsune and other person I didn’t recognize was there. Her hand had nothing to hold on to and she started to fall, I quickly created a portal, which wasn’t that smart because I knew I was testing my luck, I think I’ve burnt out my powers for the day.
