“He’s flatlining! Get the defibrillator. STAT!” I turned around curious what they were talking about.

  “Emmy now!”

“Right.” I answered. I focused my eyes on the dragon pointing my hands towards his legs, I need to focus. I closed my eyes gaining all my power.
The dragons legs were caught in my vines, Hunter grabbed the gun loaded with the needle.
    One shot. That's it.
    Just one.

“He’s gone….” I turned around, the person talking was the lady who was helping Max.

“G-gone?” I stuttered on my words, it was killing me to say that one word.

“I’m sorry but-”

“No. He’s not gone. H-he can’t be….”

    “Ms.-”

“NO!” I screamed. No. He’s not dead. He’s not. I ran over to the back of the truck where they were holding him.
“Max? Come on. Your fine. Y-your….-” I couldn’t, the flood gates opened, tears, hot tears flowing down my cheeks. “Max...please..” I cradled his head in my arms. He was a mess, his shirt was off, uncovering all the blood and stitches. He’s been through alot. He reminded me of my brother, brave, kind, funny. My brother, he died for me, the day I was attacked by some lunatic on the streets and Hunter saved me, before that there was a victim. My brother, he fought till the very end, he saved me, died for me, I’m not going to let Max die. It’s like my brother death all over again. I can’t. I won’t.
“MAX! Wake up you clutz, come on. Max?” I rest my head on his shoulder, crying, remembering the past, the pain, so much pain.

   “Emmy?”
Maddison.
“Oh my god, Emmy.” She rushed over to me a squeezed me tight, a tear silently slipped down her cheek. “I’m so sorry. Damn Max, you idiot. Look what you did to Em.” A tiny laugh escaped behind our sorrowful tears after the comment she made. “Emmy I’m here for you….kay?” I simply gave a tiny nod as I couldn’t find the right words. I stared down at the lifeless body of the person I loved most. Why? I couldn't lose someone else. I couldn’t it was too hard, too painful. The ground shook, so did we.

“What the-” We were pushed down. The Dragons struggling to get out, thrashing around, was shaking the ground.

“Hunter! Shoot! NOW!” Screamed Jewel. Hunter grabbed the gun and amimed.
*BOOM* the air got colder. We were all waiting to see the needle in the dragon. But that wasn’t, the boom wasn’t from the gun.
