We helped Han get back to Iwagakure, leaving him to do his own thing.

"Thank you..." Han started, asking me for my name indirectly.

"Naruto Uzumaki!" I announced excitedly.

"Thank you Naruto. Let me give you something in thanks..."

"Huh? Oh, you don't need to give me anything in re-"

"Nonsense." He held out this red rose with blackish tips, his fingers wrapped around it delicately.

"Oh, I couldn't..."

"Please, take it." I took the flower carefully, making sure not to prick my fingers on the rose's thorns.

"Thank you"

"No, I must thank you. Now, get going before you miss your plane."

"Oh! You're right!"

You forgot about your meeting with Sasuke?

I didn't forget! That information was just drowned with the fact I had a tail.

Oh, I already removed that since you don't constantly need to be walking around with a tail.

Awwww. Can't you do that when people are suspicious of me being human?

Idiot. Kitsune's are mean to be extinct.

I just can't win, can I?

Nope. Now hurry up to the airport or you'll miss your flight.

"Goodbye Han!" I shouted behind me, waving to the man as I ran off towards the airport. Upon arriving, I payed for my tickets shakily, breathing heavily from all the running I just did. Almost immediately, the announcer person announced over the speaker that the plane back to Konoha had arrived.

Not rescuing Son Gokū?

Just sweet talk him, I'm sure he won't be any more pissed off.

Ha ha

I'm gonna go to sleep now.

I can talk to you in your sleep, you know that, right?

Well, don't.

I gazed at the rose's petals, pinching one between my fingertips then running my fingers over it. For some reason, this thing reminded me of someone.

I put the flower near my collarbone, tucking it into my hoodie and falling asleep to the feeling of small pricks on my chest from the flower, and pricks in my heart.

. . .

I opened my eyes just as the plane landed, most likely bleeding because I slept next to a thorny rose.

I stood up and stretched, cracking my back and shoulders. Sliding the rose out of my hoodie, I felt myself being scratched slightly.

I made my way off the plane and through the airport, walking out onto the crowded Konoha streets. I kind of wanted to know what time it was, but it probably didn't matter. If I was early to me and Sasuke's meeting, I could probably just sit there thinking for hours until he arrived.

I retraced my steps towards the park, which the locals called 'Child's Bane' since the park was heavily forested and kids would disappear from there all the time. After parents realized the danger, kids were forbid from going there unless the parents really could care less about their kids.

Since there were no kids, it basically became a teenager hangout. Teens did disappear from time to time, but it's not like it happened as often as it would if they were little kids. Konoha was fucked up since they didn't have some mythical creature threatening to kill them all if crimes were committed. I mean, Itachi is from Konoha and he's considered a criminal! Even if he kind of isn't if you think about it.
