This story will almost always be in naruto's p.o.v, with occasional points of view in third person. I guess I could use this as a learning experience on how to write in third person. Also, if you could decipher what was said in the last chapter, before it was removed (if you don't know what I'm talkin about, don't worry about it) don't tell anyone, it wasn't meant to be deciphered.
I awoke with a throbbing headache. Upon trying to move, I groaned in pain, as my body didn't seem to want to get up.
This always happened when my brain listened to the outside world. Sometimes I heard Jiraiya mumbling outside my room, other times I could hear a mermaid speaking to a merman underneath the sea.
I never understood why. I've been hearing things from the outside world as long as I can remember, and they always ended with me waking up with a throbbing headache. They started when I supposedly fell asleep, but throughout the night, I never felt like I was asleep as I was listening, and when I 'woke up' I felt like I hadn't slept in a thousand years.
I eased myself out of my nice, warm, and comfortable bed. I fell at least twice trying to make my way to the kitchen, whipping up some scrambled eggs and bacon. I was about to leave, when I noticed what day it was. Oh right, Jiraiya had the amazing idea of throwing me into school on a Thursday, so I only get one day of homework then the weekend. Good fucking job, Jiraiya.
I heard my phone buzz all the way from my room. Oh, yeah. Another side effect of hearing things in the middle of the night, I had advanced hearing in the morning too. Joy.
I picked up my phone, seeing as it was a text from one of my best friends since my last two schools. She was living abroad from the sand village, and while she was here, we became pretty good friends.
I tapped her number, decided to dial it. She picked up almost immediately.
"NARUTO UZUMAKI! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO MEET ME AT MY TATTOO SHOP ALMOST AN HOUR AGO!"
"Sorry Temari, I've had a rough morning."
"Oh. You were hearing things in your sleep again, right?"
"Yeah."
"You should seriously get that checked out."
"I know, I know. I'm just, afraid."
"Because you're human?"
"Yeah"
I heard her sigh on the other line. "Whatever you troublesome man. Just hurry up and get your ass over here."
She hung up after she said that, and I set my phone on my dresser as I took off my clothes to change into something for the day. I pulled out this dull red and orange colored sweatshirt, that had the words 'Heart of Glass' printed on it. I paired some skinny jeans with it, stuffing my phone in the sweatshirt pocket.
I made sure to write on a piece of paper where I was going so Jiraiya didn't freak out. I grabbed my black leather purse off the wall, pulling out sunglasses. Before leaving I took a stick of gum and put it in my mouth.
Walking out of the house, I locked the door and went on my merry way. Occasionally, I blew bubbles and popped the gum.
When I arrived at the tattoo store, I strode through the front door. I hung my purse up on the wall, taking off my sunglasses and placing them inside the purse.
"What's up, bitches. The queen has arrived," I yelled. "Tenten, isn't that your twelfth tattoo you've gotten?"
"I'm sensitive to the sun, and I would like to fly thank you very much." Tenten replied, cursing under her breath as one of Temari's workers, Shijima Hoki, worked on the tattoo. It looked like some sort of tiger, and from what I saw, she was planning on getting it colored. The tattoo took up most of her shoulder and part of her arm.
