I ran off the train, sprinting up and out of the subway station. I didn't need to use Kurama's power to find Orochimaru, that snake gave off a stench you could smell from Sunagakure.
I ran through the streets, almost giving into Kurama's power, but suppressing it. I don't need another reason for these people to hate me.
I headed towards the abandoned playground, stopping before stepping on the mulch. I saw a girl on the mulch, a flute placed between her lips and a beautiful sound coming out. She had white horns coming out of her head, facing in every direction. Her hair looked bleached orange, and her skin countered that with a dark grayish brown.
"Are you looking for him?" She asked as she turned around to face me. Her irises were golden, the rest of her eyes black. I knew who she was talking about.
"That snake has had a lot of fun with him. That guy has been his latest 'playtoy'" She growled as she said the word 'playtoy'. It made me growl!
"If you want to see him alive, you might want to hurry. Follow Jūgo, and he'll lead you to a river where Suigetsu will take you as far as he can go. From there, Kidōmaru will take you the rest of the way."
"Why do you want to help me?"
"Orochimaru has mistreated us for years, except for that scoundrel Kabuto. We all cannot live on our own, but we cannot follow Orochimaru anymore. If you could get rid of him, we would all be set free."
"In that case, I'll defeat Orochimaru and set you all free! Believe it!"
"I knew a human would fix all of this..." She whispered, turning back around to play her flute. I turned to the trees, seeing a spiky orange haired man with birds landing on his shoulders. He turned to leave, and I quickly followed him.
Seeing I was following, the man I assumed to be Jūgo sped up his pace, quickly making it through the woods and in less than 5 minutes we were nearing a river. As I was turning to thank Jūgo, he was gone from sight.
"Hey. So, I guess you're the human who's gonna save Sasuke? Hop on my back, we should hurry before Orochimaru accidentally kills the man." This Suigetsu was a siren, a creature feared by most. He smiled, revealing the sharp fangs. But, I shoved all my cautions up my ass as I walked over to climb onto the man's back.
"You must be really brave, stupid, or determined if you're so willing to jump on a siren's back." Suigetsu commented as he started swimming hastily, treading through the water like a missile. I turned my head to look through the water that was spraying everywhere, seeing another fish swimming through the water, speeds almost rivaling Suigetsu's. The blue skin, shark tail, it made me feel familiar with the creature.
"Kisame?" I had to yell because of the rushing water.
"Hey kid. Leader-sama's a bit angry at you because you went away without asking. But, no one went after you since Tobi had said you were fine."
"Is everyone here?"
"Hell yeah. Deidara and Konan are surveying the skies for Orochimaru, Tobi and Pain are sniffing around for traps, Kakuzu and Itachi are waiting by his hideout, Hidan and Sasori are waiting by this guy named Kidomaru."
I wonder how Itachi's going to react to seeing Sasuke again.
We'll see.
"Oi, this is as far as I can take you. Go save Sasuke and kill that snake, do it for him and for all of us, alright?" Suigetsu said as I hopped off his back and onto the shore.
"Yeah, Suigetsu. That snake is going to die before he can even say the words 'Hey, Sasuke's pretty hot man.'"
Suigetsu raised an eyebrow but didn't comment, and I turned towards the woods to see Hidan leaning against a tree in his Akatsuki cloak, Sasori next to him with cat ears, claws, and a tail, and then who I assumed to beKidōmaru next to them.
