Hera
He was definitely tall and well-built. He had such a defined face, I swore that he was a model.
He had a chiselled jaw and his eyes were just mesmerising. Dark, almost black, and they looked like abysses which any human could get lost in. I stared deep into them, hoping to find some sort of emotion, but it was blank and blacker than could be.
His emotionlessness reminded me of my mother and how dangerous she became when she was emotionless. His eyes didn't bear that danger I would've immediately caught with my mother, his eyes bore a hidden determination in them.
"This is my sister and second in command, Hera King." Zeus introduced me while pushing my wheelchair towards these men.
The first one extended his hand for me to shake and I gladly took it in, "Damien Genaro." He introduced himself, I smiled back.
The second one, the captivating one with the most mysterious demeanour, extended his light-skinned hand for me to shake and I hesitated, but went ahead and shook it, "Bryson Genaro," he said with such a base voice, it almost took my breath away.
I wanted to look at him for a little longer, especially into his eyes, and figure out why they looked so lifeless. His whole face read emotionless, but his eyes seemed to be screaming for help.
I pulled my hand back gently and Zeus pushed me towards his seat, behind his huge glass table. He sat alongside me and the two Genaro men sat in front of us, on the other side of the glass table.
"Proceed." Zeus said so professionally, it made me realise how serious he was about these people.
It made me think and finally realise just how important these people were. Firstly, he called me from my office in such a demanding tone, there was no way I could deny. Secondly, he specifically told me to keep Hilary away. Thirdly, he personally introduced these people to me and wanted me by his side as he had his meeting with these two men. They must have been very important for him to go through such trouble.
"As you can remember me telling you, we are co-owners of a shipment company based in the east, but we came here on business. We want you to invest in us and in return, we give you twenty percent of the shares in our business." Damien spoke, and I gulped down a huge lump.
Giving away twenty percent of a private business was a huge deal, and it could make or break millions of peoples' lives. I leaned in towards them in intrigue, wondering to myself why these two legitimate looking men could go to such great lengths for an investment from us.
"Why Throne? We are based here in the west, won't the distance cause problems?" My brother asked, reading my mind.
"Because you are a very formidable company with a lot of recommendations and references and we do hope that Throne can be the company to fit into ours realistically, financially and culturally." Damien explained.
"Culturally?" Zeus raised his eyebrow.
"Yes. Much like us, your family is an empire which is well-known here in the west. We, the Genaro's, are well-known in the east. Our families have similarities in many ways and we believe that Throne and the King family would be the perfect match for us."
"We are a banking company, and you a shipping company. How will we interlink without misunderstandings or mishaps?"
"This is only for capital. We may be interlinking the company, but we will not interfere with each others' business advancements as this will most definitely cause as you said 'misunderstandings and mishaps'. This is what we would like to avoid."
