"So what are you gonna wear?" Hilary asked me in interest.

After Blade and Bullet disappeared and Poseidon stormed out to catch some air, Hilary and I went upstairs to my room where she helped me change into a onesie and I told her about Bryson and our date tomorrow night.

"I think that you should wear something red. You know... like that classic lady look." Lexi said with a wide smile on her face. It was only me, Hilary and Lexi in the room, Athena was too busy ravaging the kitchen.

"Or something black to seem mysterious." Hilary beamed.

"No, that's his look." Lexi corrected Hilary and they both began to debate on what would best suit me for my first date with Bryson.

Bryson had been on my mind since the night at the airport. At first it wasn't that bad, but once he asked me on the date, I couldn't get him out. One too many times Zeus caught me daydreaming about him and one too many times I've had to cover it up. Zeus had also disappeared in frustration to find the man who scared Hilary.

"Guys." I called them softly. They both looked at me just as I had stopped their quarrel and Bryson immediately popped up in my mind, "I can't get him out of my mind." I admitted, forgetting what I was about to say to them.

Hilary and Lexi swooned loudly while making cute faces and I blushed immensely. This was the very first time I had ever felt these feelings for a man before and I wondered what my mother would've said about my current emotions. She wasn't a big fan of love.

The thought of my mother suddenly made me emotional and I felt the tears trickle in my eyes.

"Oh come on now... why are you crying?" Hilary asked me sweetly.

"I'm just thinking about my mother. I-I... miss her." I admitted while holding my tears in.

"I have to admit that... I also do. She loved me, in her own scary way." Hilary admitted, making me chuckle.

"I wish I could've met her before she left." Lexi stated sadly.

"Don't say that." Hilary scolded her. "You did yourself a huge favour by coming into this family after she disappeared. I mean I won't lie... Claudia was an interesting person in her own way, but she wouldn't make it easy for you. She'd make you too scared to kill yourself in her presence."

"She's not that bad." I chuckled.

"You're right. She's worse! She once made a big bulldozer of a man almost kill me while stroking Mason gently like he was a soft feather. I almost died that day, and she was only giving me a warning!"

"Oh my..."

"... don't listen to her Lexi, she just loves to be over exaggerative. My mother is just tough."

"Yeah more like stone cold and cruel." Hilary pointed out, and I swatted her hand away.

"She's better than my aunt Estelle." I admitted.

"That one was even worse! She tried to take my baby away from me!" Hilary exclaimed in shock.

"Poseidon once spoke about her. He finds her very funny." Lexi smiled.

"She's funny because she's a joke herself. A stupid and fat clown." Hilary said.

I didn't stop Hilary from saying all that she was saying. Considering all that my family had put her through, I didn't blame her for wanting to vent out her built up grudges. I also told myself that if she crossed the line with my mother or father, I'd bite her pinkie finger until it turned blue.
