"He asked me out." I defended myself.
"But you agreed." Blade shot back, crossing his arms over his chest.
                              "Because I like him."
                              "Since when?"
"Since the night at the airport."
                              "What airport?"
"Yesterday when I went to New York with Hilary. He gave us a ride home when we arrived back home."
                              "What happened to the driver?"
"He was going to take long and I knew that I was going to oversleep if I wasted anymore time. You told me not to mess with the meeting."
"Don't you dare pin this on me. Watch yourself now because I wasn't the one that told you to ditch everything and run away from your responsibilities here. I also didn't tell you to accept his offer, you could've taken an Uber. This is all your fault."
"Yes, it is. But I'm not ashamed for having feelings for him."
                              "What feelings?"
"The feelings I feel whenever he's close or even whenever he's far. I can't get him out of my mind."
"It's true." Hilary said, nodding her head, but immediately stepped out of the conversation once she realised just how tense the atmosphere was.
                              "When's the date?" Blade sighed.
                              "Tomorrow night."
                              "Time?"
                              "Six."
                              "Where?"
"He didn't say. I think he wants to surprise me."
                              "How romantic." Bullet snapped sarcastically.
I couldn't understand why they were so angry. It was just one date, it wasn't marriage. I was also an adult, I was twenty-three years old now. I could do whatever I wanted with my life and if I wanted to go out on a date with Bryson, I will do as I pleased.
"Listen here..." I tried to voice my opinion but Blade stopped me.
"... no, you listen. Hera... your mother left you in my care. If anything happens to you under my watch, only God knows what she'll do to me. You going a date with Bryson Genaro is a huge risk. We don't even know much about him and his family."
"Which is why I'm going on this date. To get to know him..."
"... romantically. You're going to get to know him romantically and I don't think that you're ready for that yet."
"Let me prove to you that I know what I'm doing. Bryson is harmless..."
"... I still want to be cautious. If I smell a rat, even if it's the smallest thing in the entire universe, I'm taking action."
"And I'm coming with you." Bullet announced.
                              "What? No!"
