Blade
After a terrible night of sleep, we all woke up the next morning tense and tired.
The atmosphere was cold and reeked of fear. No-one knew anything about anyone. I feared something bad had happened or would happen, but I chose to keep my worries to myself.
"Why are they doing this to us?" Poseidon asked for the millionth time.
"It's Estelle, ok? She hates us because we chose Claudia over her and now she is taking advantage of the fact that Claudia isn't here to protect us. She's getting her revenge." I explained.
I noticed that Jermaine had been quiet ever since he had arrived yesterday and I almost spoke about it when guards stormed into the shed and opened the bars. They grabbed us all roughly and shoved us to the main house.
Once we made it to the diningroom, I looked around but couldn't see any of the women and children. It was just Estelle and Maureen seated at the dining table, already digging in.
"Nice of you to join us. Sit down. We have much to talk about." Estelle said menacingly and Maureen put her cup down and faced us with intrigue on her face.
I didn't know this woman well but I could tell from her face that she was of Mafia blood. She had the same evil smirk and lifeless eyes that people in empires had, but I didn't recognise her from our Mafia. Whoever she was, she was messing with the wrong family.
"For those who don't know, this is my childhood friend, Maureen Genaro..." Estelle spoke but Bullet disrupted her by chuckling dryly. "... what's funny?" Estelle said, glaring at my twin with anger in her eyes.
"I just can't believe you had friends. Really." Bullet admitted with a sly grin on his face and I couldn't help but snicker myself. Poseidon joined in the fun of laughing while Ayurv pulled a small smile on his face. Alex looked horrified from how happy we looked and sounded in the position we were in and Jermaine kept his gaze on the floor with his jaw clenched tightly. I wondered.
"Shut up! Or else I'll be left with no choice but to kill every single one of you." Estelle threatened and I decided to test her theory.
"You can't do that." I smirked. This was a method Claudia taught me.
"Oh really?"
"Yeah. You can't. I know that you need us. Otherwise you would've killed us all by now. Am I right or am I right?" I taunted her and watched all the colour fade from her face.
"You don't know what you're talking about." Estelle said hastily.
"You know what, Estelle, I agree with you. We didn't grow up with each other therefore we don't know much about each other. You told me something interesting about you that I didn't know and now, let me tell you something about me that you don't know. I, Blade King, know everything."
"Really?" Estelle asked, obviously trying to pick herself back up. She may have been Luther's daughter, but she was nowhere being similar to him the same way Claudia was.
"You are just so oblivious, aren't you? I know everything. I always do. I know that you want to bring honour back to Charles' name so you decided that the only for you to be able to do that is for you to take the Mafia back. You believe that since Claudia is gone, nothing can stop you from your goal. But your forgetting one thing. The heir, or in this case, heiress of Queen Claudia King, Ms. Hera King, or should I say Mrs. Hera Genaro, is gone."
