Hera
"We give you our blessings to marry Hera." Bhavani announced to me and Bryson the next morning in my office.
After my fight with Blade last night, they grabbed Tanu and Bani and left. I was angry beyond words and I didn't feel the need to speak to anyone. Not even Bryson.
Now it was the next morning and Blade and Bhavani were in front of me while Bryson stood behind me with his hand on my shoulder, giving me his strength.
"What changed your mind?" I asked emotionlessly.
"When we got home, we discussed it thoroughly and also agreed that marrying Bryson would actually benefit us. It would make our business' merge more solid and will prove to the public that there is a reason behind the merge. Many companies were sceptical about the real reasons behind this merge." Bhavani explained while Blade kept his beady eyes fixated on Bryson.
"So you don't care about our personal feelings and how we feel?" I asked.
"Emotionally, we're torn. So we decided to look for the greener side of the grass and focus more on the business part of things."
"Are you going to tell my mother?"
"No."
"Why not? She deserves to know that her baby girl is getting married."
"We have agreed to let this marriage take place. Anything beyond that is out of our control." Bhavani said while getting up with Blade by her side.
"Oh rea..."
"... your mother is very happy where she is right now and it would be very selfish of you to tamper with that just for a mere wedding that was planned on a fucking first date." Bhavani said hastily.
"And if I smell a rat, even if it's a fucking baby albino rat with no limbs and no tail that is paralysed and brain dead... I will kill you." Blade threatened Bryson and my breath hitched from how certain he sounded. "I am more than capable of taking Claudia's role of scooping out your eyeballs if I see one tear drop on Hera's cheek."
"I understand." Bryson said softly, out of respect for Blade.
"I'm serious, Bryson. You're not marrying the president's daughter. You're marrying Queen Claudia King and Charles King's daughter. The granddaughter of Luther and Jacklyn King. The cousin of Blade and Bullet King. The niece of Baxter and Estelle King. I will tear your penis off, stick it down your throat and watch you choke on your own semen if you hurt her."
"I know, sir, and I won't."
"Better not." Blade growled and then disappeared with his wife by his side.
I was so relieved that the nightmare was over. Getting through to Blade was expected to be difficult, but I hoped and prayed and now our reality would be. I'd marry Bryson Genaro.
"We did it." Bryson said in a tone I couldn't recognise, but I was happy.
"We did it." I repeated his words more jovially and then turned my wheelchair around to face him.
"We're getting married."
"We're getting married."
"This means that I can do the one thing that I have been itching to do since the day I laid eyes on you."
"What's that?" I chuckled.
Bryson bent down to my level and looked me in the eye. His eyes were displaying an emotion I couldn't recognise but I knew that the emotion wasn't one I had to fear.
Suddenly, Bryson leaned in gently and connected his lips to mine. The feeling of his soft and smooth lips on mine shocked me at first so I didn't close my eyes, but once I realised that he was actually kissing me, I closed my eyes and accepted the heaven he was offering me.
Our lips meshed perfectly with each other, moving with each other in a peacefully rhythmic symphony, as though he was made to kiss me and I was made to kiss him.
Bryson placed his hand on my thigh and I leaned in more into the kiss, allowing his tongue access into my mouth and mine into his. I placed my hand in his brown curls and that awarded me with a husky moan from him which made me feel satisfied for turning him on even more than he already was.
I smiled while we kissed and he pulled back to whisper, "You taste good." I giggled and he came back to my lips, this time a bit more demanding. His kiss was rougher and more dominating, but made me feel heated and loved nonetheless. It was perfect.
Finally, he pulled back and I felt cold without the feeling of his lips on mine. I looked at him and he smiled, making my cheeks flush red.
"Was that..." He asked me and I already knew what he wanted to know so I nodded.
"... my first kiss. Yes." I agreed with a smile on my face.
"This couldn't get any more perfect for me. You couldn't get any more perfect for me. I can't wait to marry you."
"Me too." I agreed and then bit my bottom lip from the excitement. My eyes drifted from his to his lips. The feeling of them on mine flashed back into mind the moment I looked at him.
"You want to kiss me again, don't you?" He asked, sounding a bit cocky, but sexy nonetheless.
"Yes." I said, nodding my head like a child. "You taste good too."
Bryson did something I never knew a man of his kind could. I thought that the slight grins were magical but I couldn't believe my heart rate when I saw Bryson Genaro chuckle.
Eye lines developed around his eyes and dimples exposed themselves on his cheeks. He looked down while chuckling and I felt my mind flutter away, making me brain dead, when he looked back up at me with a full, pearly white teethed smile. He took my breath away.
"You have an amazing smile." I admitted out loud and Bryson nodded his head while looking at my lips again.
"You are an amazing kisser. For a beginner." He said, making me chuckle.
"You must be some pro." I taunted him, making him chuckle.
"You make me better." He said and then leaned in to kiss me again, and it felt better than the first time.
