Hyunjin~

Jennie and I had been talking for the past six hours, about the absolute most randomness things ever. There's so much that I didn't know about her- so many things I missed and didn't notice.

"My back starts to hurts often. Eunha is getting really heavy," Jennie sighed but then smiled right after. "She's gonna come out in three months."

I sat back up and kissed her baby bump... I can't believe it. I'm going to be a father soon. "And I'm so excited to meet her. She's definitely going to be such a beautiful girl. I mean, with our genes combined? Wow."

"You're right. Should I place her in dance once she turns three? I think she'd be a natural." Jennie imagined.

"Definitely. We both were like the best dancers in high school- it's in her blood," I suddenly had a thought. "When should we buy her stuff?"

"Mmh..." She mumbled, but then didn't say anything else after that. I looked to my side and realized that Jennie already fell asleep.

"Goodnight, hun." I kissed her cheek before shutting off the lamp.

I woke up at two in the afternoon, even surprising myself that I slept for this long. It's rare for me to sleep in, but it's fine since I took an absent from school anyways.

Jennie is still soundly asleep. As much as possible, I tried to get up without making a single noise. I went downstairs and decided to make brunch? I think.

She always makes me food, so I should do that too from now on. Jennie must still be tired once she wakes up.

Ring*

Who's that? Mail?

I placed the dish down onto the dining table, then went over to go get the door.

"Eomma?" My eyes grew and I immediately hugged her. It's been so long since my parents came to visit, since they're always on business trips.

"Sorry, your dad couldn't make it..." She hugged me back. "Where's Jennie?"

"She's asleep." I quietly said.

"How's she doing? It must be really hard for her." My mom patted my back, and we went to the living room to go sit on the couch.

"Huh? How did you find out?" This is about her alcohol poisoning, right?

"Her mom told me. I'm actually going to visit her in New Zealand next week- that's why I went here, to check up on Jennie..." She sadly looked down.

"Huh?" I'm completely baffled.

"About her parents? She didn't tell you?"

My mom explained everything to me.

Everything she said made me feel like complete shit. Jennie's already hurting, and I hurt her even more. Instead, I did what her father did... I broke our family because I was being selfish. Because I wasn't thinking right.

"I gotta go now," Mom embraced me one more time before heading out the door. "Make sure to shower Jennie with hugs and kisses! Take care of her and yourself."

"I will."

I woke up at about four in the afternoon, which is actually very surprising. Maybe Hyunjin's presence really did help.

I slowly stood up and tried going down the stairs, which took me an enormous amount of time because my body felt too weak. Eventually, I succeeded and headed down to the kitchen.

"You're awake," Hyunjin greeted me with a big smile on his face. "I made you some food."

I looked down at the table, and then and there placed so many dishes. Vegetable soup and so many different frog dishes... and cake?

"You baked the cake?" It just looks way too good.

"No, I bought it while you were asleep..." He honestly said. "But I did make all these."

We sat down and tried out the food. Surprisingly, each dish tasted amazing... but Hyunjin found his own cooking awful. I couldn't help but laugh at his reaction while eating frog dishes. He seems to really dislike it, but is forcing himself to eat it anyways.

"You don't have to eat it if you don't want to." I told him but he insisted.

"You like it, so I'll try to like it too! Eventually..." He forced a smile and took another bite. Hyunjin seems to be hiding something from me... again.

"Did you find out?" I suddenly got the hint. "My parents. You know?"

"Yes, my mom told me..." He walked over to me and kneeled down on one leg. Hyunjin held my hands in support. "Why didn't you just tell me?"

"You wouldn't care even if I told you," I looked down at my feet. "That's why I drank the pain away instead. I wanted to forget about it- I wanted to forget them... I wanted to forget you."
