Jennie~

I woke up next to him, just like any other day. Except we're not wearing anything... but there's a blanket, so yay. I looked to my other side and saw the shadows of buildings move, as the sun started to rise.

"Wake up, you have to see this!" I shook Hyunjin awake and his eyelids started to slowly open.

"It looks really nice." He stared at the sight in awe. Pink, orange and blue with a tint of yellow. I guess this is a lucky sign for us newlywed.

"What should we eat?" I thought of cotton candy while staring at the colorful sky and clouds.

"Crepes?" Hyunjin stood up and went to the bathroom. The sound of water came running down the tub, meaning that he's probably going to take a shower.

Ring*

I checked my phone but there's nothing. I looked to the other side of the bed and saw Hyunjin's phone ringing.

Private Number

"Hello?" I picked it up.

"Oh, is this Mr. Hwang's wife?" The girl seems like she's faking her voice.

"Yes... who's this?" I felt weird and uncomfortable talking to this person.

"I'm his mom's best friend's friend's daughter. I just wanted to say, congrats on your marriage!" She said in a high-pitched voice. Way too high. She's totally faking it.

"Oh, okay. Thanks... bye." I quickly ended the call because it just felt way too awkward. Who the heck was that?

"Did anyone call?" Hyunjin said as he came out of the bathroom. He noticed that I was holding his phone.

"Yeah, some private caller? She said that she's your mom's best friend's friend's daughter? I think..." I started to scratch my head in confusion.

"Ahh, really? What'd she say?" He snatched the phone away from my hand. "Congrats on your marriage?"

"Yeah! How did you know?" My eyes grew wide.

"Well, that's technically the only reason why people are calling me. They want to congratulate us." I blushed when he said "us". Why am I still like this?

"Are we gonna go somewhere for our honeymoon? How about Greece? I've always wanted to go there." I've always imagined how beautiful it'd be like to see the sunrise in Greece.

"We're moving into a house, classes start in a few weeks. It's impossible. Maybe next time." That's what he always says. What he really meant was, "stop dreaming, it's never gonna happen."

"Alright. I guess this is fine enough." I didn't want to bother him even more.

"Thanks, hun." He pulled me into a big hug.

Hyunjin~

"Were you listening?" Jennie leaned in and tapped my shoulders. We're currently eating crepes at a nearby breakfast diner.

"I was." Like twenty minutes ago.

"What did I say then?" She crossed her arms and sat back.

"Something about..." I wasn't actually listening. "Sorry, I wasn't paying attention."

"It's fine. You're always like this..." she took a quick bite out of her savory crepe. "If something's up, if you're feeling anxious, you can always just tell me. I'm your wife and I'm willing to listen."

"Thanks, hun. I'm fine- don't worry about me." I smiled at her.

My problem?

I'm married to the wrong girl.

Ring*

Private Number

I excused myself from our table, and went outside to go answer my phone.

"What's up, babe? Why do you keep calling? My wife almost caught me earlier." I lowered down my tone a bit.

"But she didn't. My acting was really good," she giggled. "I miss you."

"I miss you too. I love you so much." I uttered softly, and I could almost hear her heartbeat from the other side of the phone.

"I love you too. I wish I was your wife... I wish I could just walk freely with you, hand-in-hand."

"I don't even do that with her. I don't love her. It's you now, so don't feel bad." I looked down at my ring and felt guilty.

"I told you. You really should have just broken up with her when you still could. Now things are are just so complicated." She sighed.

"Don't worry, babe. I won't go back to liking a psychopath like her. She was so crazy." I thought of everything she did before. Why did I even like her? What did I see in that... freak?

"Really? Please get a divorce soon."

"I will. I'll visit you later, let's talk then. I love you." I told her before hanging up.

Jennie~

I patiently waited for Hyunjin to come back, checking my phone every few minutes to look at the time. I already finished my food and I'm really bored.

What's taking him so long?

I was about to stand up to go look for him, but he came back just in time.

"Sorry, that was my mom. She said a lot of things," he looked at my plate then back at me. "You're already done?"

"Yeah, I was done even before you went out to go answer that call..."

"Really? Here, have some of mine. Eat up." He gave me half of his chocolate strawberry crepe, and I immediately devoured it.

"Thanks." I smiled with my eyes.
