"What's the matter with you?!" Tiana shrieks.
I don't care what she has to say, I keep on walking.
"You're wearing on my patience Malina. Why the hell you keep runnin' off? This is the third time this week! Your school keeps calling me and I have to come up with some shitty excuse! Next time Imma tell them I dont know where the hell you at and let the state deal with it."
I spin on my heels and face her, "do it then! Like I care!? I know you fucking don't so stop frontin'!"
"If I didn't care I wouldn't be asking where you were, I wouldn't be lying to the school!"
Tiana's right in front of me and she sighs.
"Malina... You're my baby sister, I dont want to fight with you. I need you on my team more now than ever and I want to be on yours if you'll let me... But we need to move forward, cuz this ain't it."
I hold in my scoff and roll my eyes, "yeah you're right it aint," I turn and walk off again headed up the stairs.
Tiana groans, "you're so damn hard headed! You know, I know you hanging out with some boy, yeah Adeen told me... Were you talking to him when I walked in on- You know what, forget that. If this is how some dude makes you act, I'm gonna need you to stop chillin with him, right now."
The disbelief is all over my face. How dare she have the audacity to come at me like this? Like she wasnt just getting dicked down by some dirtball a few weeks ago!
I shake my head, "you and your husband deserve each other... You're both hypocritical, lying, cheating motherfuckers," I spit.
Her eyes flutter as she tries comprehending what I just said. Her head slightly tilting to the side like a curious dog.
It tickles me to see, she never knew he cheated. Interesting that'd he tell me secrets but not her... The look on her face is all too humbling. I eat it up.
"Oh," I feign concern. "You didn't know your husband was fucking some chick while you were getting fucked too? Huh, guess you're even, you cant be too mad though, right?"
I continue up the stairs leaving Tiana stunned and on the brink of tears.
The show of course, doesn't stop there.
Hours go by before I come out of my room. I go downstairs to fill a glass with water and what do you know, Dwayne's name lights up on my phone.
I answer the call, "hey."
"I miss you."
Dwayne's voice is low and gruff, like he just woke up. I'd never admit it to him, but it really turns me on.
"Oh?" I reply.
"Mhm, you miss me?"
"Maybe... Just a little."
I can tell he's smiling, "think I can see you today baby?"
I bite my lip, thinking. I haven't done laundry in a week and I'm running low on clean clothes, well cute clothes anyway. I think a little longer and an idea comes to mind.
"Why don't you come over?" I ask.
"Must be getting comfortable with me," he says.
I peak into the garage, no cars, I look out front, empty.
"That and I'm tired of fucking around your dirty roommates."
