"Lee, let's go I need to get home!"
Sasha is yelling through the house, not realizing that I fell asleep in Dwayne's bed. I look at the time on my phone, it's three in the morning.
I grumble and start to get up, Dwayne tightens his arm around me.
"Stay baby," he croaks sleepily.
I look at him and smile, he' fighting so hard to stay asleep.
"Gimmie a sec," I whisper.
I get up, pull on Dwayne's shirt since it comes down past my knees and step out into the hall where Sasha stands.
She looks me over and if they could, her eyes would've popped out of her head.
"Biiiiitch!" She yells.
"Shh!" I shush her, annoyed.
Damn she knows she can be aggravating.
She walks toward me smiling wide, "do not tell me you were in there getting dicked down by Dwayne."
I scoff, "least I didn't get skeeted on."
She rolls her eyes not acknowledging the jab.
"Bitch whatever, you wish you could."
I'm disgusted and my face shows it, then we end up laughing about it.
"Well... How was it?" She asks, wriggling her eyebrows.
I nod, my smile never leaving, "you see I'm still in his bed."
She laughs loudly and claps her hands once, "my dawg!"
I shake my head trying to stifle a laugh. Sasha hikes her bag on her shoulder.
"Well like I said, I need to get home. I will not have a repeat of last time. Momma always flipping over somethin'. I'll wait for you in the car alright?"
I hesitate, "uh..."
"What?" She asks.
"I uh... I think Imma chill here for a while."
She looks me up and down, "damn he must've hit it real good. Got you spending the night and shit."
That and I really can't stand to be around those pieces of shits I live with.
I shrug, Sasha nods then pulls me into a hug.
"Call me if you need somethin'. I'll be back after school, let me know if you leave."
I nod, "will do girly," I hug her back.
She leaves and I retreat to Dwayne's bed, snuggling close.
He smiles, never opening his eyes and kisses my temple.
"Glad you're back," he whispers.
"Me too," I whisper.
Later in the day, Dwayne and I go to the mall. We walk from store to store mostly window shopping. Dwayne buys us lunch and me a frog plush from Spencers.
"I guess I got the date anyway," Dwayne muses.
We're sitting outside of the mall leaning against the pillars, people watching.
I smile, watching the constant traffic of people searching for a parking spot.
"I guess you did."
"Thank you," he says.
I look at him, he's looking at me, a small smile on his face. I find myself smiling too and look away again.
"Want to head back inside or would you like to do something else?"
