Can you pick me up??

The letters on my screen look like jumbled nonsense at this point, I've been staring at the words too long. The message has been typed out and ready to be sent for at least half an hour, I dont know what's holding me back.

Well yeah I do, fear.

God forbid Sasha makes her way out here and Adeen finds out I'm leaving.

He's been acting crazy enough I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to hit her. And if he were to try hurting me in front of her, I know she won't just stand by and let him... Fuck I can't involve her in this.

"Ugh!" I groan, jump up from bed, plug my phone into the charger and hurry outside.

I feel like I'm suffocating. Every little thing I do results in Adeen side eyeing and belittling. He's been getting rough with me again, and I have to admit I'm a little scared.

"I need a fucking joint," I pout.

"Just breathe," I whisper to myself. "Breathe."

No one is near me, there's a few groups scattered further down the beach. I sit at the edge of where the waves wash up, close my eyes and let the sounds of my surroundings relax me.

Five minutes in and I'm running over countless scenarios in my head.

What if Adeen gets short with me and reacts the way he did with Dwayne? He's been hanging over Tiana, I haven't even seen her the last couple days. She's been sick this whole time and it seems like Adeen's been keeping guard.

"What the fuck is going on," I mutter, covering my face with my hands.

My thoughts spiraling out of control, I jolt hurrying to my feet when water smooths out over the shore, soaking my ass.

"Dammit!" I huff.

I thought I was high up enough in the sand. Perfect time to be wearing jeans. Grumbling I stomp back to the house and up the stairs to change my clothes.

I don't notice at first, but when I go to grab my phone, it's no longer where I left it.

"What the hell?"

I crouch down and look under the bed, nothing but dust. I look on eitherside of the nightstand, nothing.

Then a thought crosses my mind...

"He wouldn't," I mutter.

I quietly step back downstairs to find Adeen sitting in the sunroom nose deep in his newspaper.

"Hey have you seen my phone, I swear I left it charging when I went outside."

He doesn't budge, no response at all.

I can't tell if he heard me, but the way he's been lately he very well could be ignoring me.

"Adeen," I say louder.

With a huff he tosses the paper onto the coffee table and whips his head up.

"What do you want Malina?"

I stifle a scoff, "have you seen my phone?"

He nods, "yes I have it, why?"

He says this as if it's normal, I'm shocked.

"Why do you have it?" I ask confused.

He shrugs, "you don't need it, we're on vacation enjoy while we're here, we'll be leaving soon. Besides, I pay for the phone, I can do with it as I please."

My jaw is hanging damn near to the floor, I'm speechless.

Adeen returns to his newspaper, "oh and I deleted those slutty pictures you took with that boy."
