"Fresh fruit! Fresh fruit over here!"

"Swords, weapons, come and get your weapons here!"

Blue glanced over at Geno, watching his expression as he glanced over the stalls around them. Near the castle, it was full of rich members of society, so it was obviously the best place to sell things at. So, stalls were set up along the seat, items of high value being sold along the street. If they needed money, Blue wouldn't mind buying something he didn't need, but he knew that these people had enough money, that's why they were in the good part of the Kingdom. They were just trying to get some extra money for whatever they desired.

Geno suddenly paused, causing blue to stop and look over at him. Geno was staring uneasily at a certain stall, his eye sockets narrowed angrily. The Jury member followed his gaze, to find a normal looking stall, only with a large gemstone on a ring sitting in the middle of the table.

It was a beautiful gemstone, Blue could admit that. It had a thin silver piece as the part of the ring that you would side onto your finger. The main thing of the ring that would pull one's eyes to it was the gemstone in the center, one that was a dark green and red color swirl. The edges were surrounded by the silver, the corners curled outwards in a nice manner. Geno's gaze was on it.

"Do you like the ring at all?" Blue asked, pulling out his wallet, "I can buy it for you."

"I do like it," Geno muttered, rubbing his hand, "But there's a few problems with that."

"What's wrong with wanting a pretty ring?" The shorter skeleton asked, tilting his head, "If you like it, just buy it. Simple as that, really!"

"No, it's not that simple, I'm the Minister of War, remember?" Geno asked.

"Of course I remember. I sometimes help you carry papers, it's fun!"

"I work more closely with King Asgore, remember?"

"Oh, right..."

Blue sighed, looking over at the ring. It was obvious that Asgore was sexist, so a male wearing a female ring would definitely make him angry. If Geno was caught wearing the ring, he would most likely be demoted, or punished, possibly even fired. So, it would be best if Geno didn't wear the ring.

"Let's get going then," Geno said, turning away from the ring.

"What if you just kept it?" Blue asked cautiously, capturing his friends attention, "It's not like it's a requirement to actually put it on, if you like the way it looks you could just keep it in your room. And if someone finds it, just say that it was a family item that you want to propose with and pass onto your children, like your Father 'did'."

"That's not a bad idea," The Minister of War grumbled, pondering over the idea, "Actually, I'll do that, but I will buy it myself, no offense, but I won't accept charity from anyone else."

"Yay, you'll be happy!" Blue cheered.

Seeing Geno smile was a rare sight these days, due to the harsh past he has suffered. With losing his whole family to a vampire attack, and promising to gain revenge on the vampire that had committed the crime, he didn't smile very often. Adding onto that, his teeth were sometimes covered by his bright red scarf, so it was hard to see if he was smiling from time to time.

Perhaps that's why Blue tried constantly to make Geno a little happier whenever he could. Blue had seen that cold expression someone dear to him before, and never wanted to see it again. It also explained why Blue was doubly hurt when Geno had slammed the door on his face, because that expression, while closing the door, would haunt him for the rest of his life.
