Okay, I need to point out something.

Some of you have been commenting about how you're angry at Cross for not accepting Nightmare, but seriously, pause for a moment.

This isn't just a Crossmare fanfiction. There's other ships, and there's a story, character goals, etc. So Crossmare won't be the focus of the book, but it's not like I'm shoving it aside either. I love Crossmare, but love doesn't happen like that. Don't forget there's going to be a second book. Crossmare will happen, just don't rush it.

Not to mention, I thought you guys got Cross, but I'll have to explain his character. He's a servant, he had been trained from a very young age to survive and listen to others, he didn't really get the chance for love or anything. The only reason he and Sans became friends was because Sans approached him with nice intentions, and Cross doesn't know how to act about Ink. He wants Ink to live, yes, but he didn't consider Ink a friend until he had revealed about how afraid he was of going emotionless. But Cross had never really thought about love, so in the questions when Nightmare, a guy he had only met once BRIEFLY, obsesses over love, he doesn't understand and is freaked out by it.

Not to mention how persistant Nightmare is about it, where Nightmare isn't even respecting his boundaries. Heck, he even tried to take off Cross' pants, and you guys supported attemped rape! I know you like Crossmare, and I do too, but Cross has a right to be freaked out by the guy who tried to rape him. But he doesn't want Nightmare to die, showed by the chocolate bar titanic thing, because he still acknowledges Nightmare as a person with feelings that he doesn't truly know.

Cross is just shoving Nightmare away because he doesn't understand Nightmare and he's trying to figure out how he feels about Nightmare constantly bugging him about something he never considered. Of course, Cross should tell Nightmare how he feels, but still, he was told all throughout his life by everything that keeping his emotions inside of him was the only way to stay safe. He only opened up to Sans because Sans was nice and understood him, and he only opened up to Ink because he could see how much Ink was hurting. Cross still needs to figure out what he wants and then he'll have to build up the courage to go against everything he has believed to tell a practical stranger what he feels.

Cross isn't the only one to blame, Nightmare is too. Nightmare had always had Dream tell him everything when they were young, and they had to constantly sneak into places for food, clothes, information, etc. And when he became a vampire, they lived close together, didn't have many secrets, and snuck into places more than ever. So, Nightmare doesn't understand a person's boundaries, which is why he doesn't understand why Cross keeps pushing him away. He doesn't really know about personal space at all. And since Nightmare is so used to people telling him how they feel without him having to ask, or for him having to get context clues, he doesn't know how Cross feels about his love. And since he's never had a crush until now, he doesn't know how to go about it. He's been stalking people for most of his life as a vampire, that's why he doesn't understand how it's creepy. Both Cross and Nightmare don't understand each other, and both of them are to blame for this, because they both aren't stating how they're really feeling.

Like real life.

You may be like "But none of the other couples are like this!" Well, none of the other couples have this problem because their characters don't clash as much. Dream and Killer had a good exchange in the forest, and Dream and Killer are open about their feelings. Not to mention Dream is willing to forget his own needs and what he feels so their relationship works out. He's just as determined to find his brother. Ink and Error have a close view on things, so they understand each other. Fell and Sci both have people they want to protect, and while Fell is a nervous wreck, Sci knows because his little brother has anxiety and Sci understands what will help. Death saved Geno's life, and that really helps their relationship blossom. Blue and Dust are pretty obvious, they both act like children and had a close relationship almost instantly because of hoe common they are. Finally, Lust fell in love with the character of Horror, and seeing his book crush in real life basically like was a dream come true. And when Horror found out Lust had his diary, he wasn't freaked out anymore, since he had a logical answer of how Lust knew so much about him, and it didn't take long for Horror to overcome it.

But that's the great thing about the Crossmare relationship in this book. If they really loved each other, they would go through trail and error countless times, going through the worst hardships to prove just how much they love each other.

I feel like you guys misinterpreted my writing. I'm not just a shipper writer, who only cares about her ships and nothing else. I love these ships, I really do, but I'm writing a story with characters and a plot. It's not just a Sanscest book, it's a story about a falling Kingdom and characters are scavenging to survive and help the ones they love, the love stories are just on the side. I'm kind of offended that you guys took me as that sort of writer. I've always wanted to become an author, and when you all are demanding only ships and nothing else, it hurts my feelings thinking that you came here for only the ships, not my writing skills. I don't want those kind of people reading my stories, just for the ships. You guys should enjoy the story and the characters, see them achieve their goals and struggle through losts of family members and trama they've experienced. Yes, this is Sanscest, but it's much more than that. And if you only see it as Sanscest, then you're going to be disappointed.

I'm going to stop publishing for a little bit. If you're one of the people who complained, I want you to consider what you're here for, just the story or the Sanscest. And if you still want to see where this goes, if they'll get their revenge, of any of them would escape, then I'm glad. But if you just am at the Sanscest, please don't read this story for it alone. And if you guys are willing to go as far as to support rape just because it's your favorite ship, then you especially need to pause and reevaluate why your here. I thought my readers all loved my stories because, yes, there was Sanscest, but because of my writing and because you were generally interested in the story, and if the skeletons were swapped out for random people with no reader inserts, you would still read it.

Just think about it for a moment.
