Asgore had started giving a speech that he had obviously been rehearsing, everyone listening intently.

At least, they were pretending to listen.

Blue was one of the few that were actually listening with interest, since he was very excited by this whole spy situation. Edge and Silica were listening too, since their plan might go south if they had screwed it up. So, they would have to be extremely careful with what they did next.

Silica would have the difficult part of the plan, and that would be sucking up to the King constantly and being shy while following the rules. She wasn't one who was really shy, she was loud, smoked constantly, and would start yelling if someone annoyed her. She would have to be the opposite of herself until she managed to get out of the Kingdom.

Her heart was beating rapidly, and she was nervous beyond anything she has ever been nervous about before. She had never actually been nervous, she never really cared about school and had gotten kicked out before she had even finished her Junior year of high school. The library was rarely attended, and she could read, so it was an okay job for her lack of a high school diploma. She hadn't even been nervous about the interview, she was good at being independent, and she knew if she was having severe difficulties she could just go find Edge for help.

But this was something to be nervous about, alright. If they had found out her real intentions, she would be killed on the spot, Edge would be thrown into jail or also killed on the spot, and they would most likely close off all of the ships period and stop all contact with the other Kingdoms, cutting off any possibility for others escaping period. And if that happened, the Kingdoms would assume something and probably think their Kingdom was preparing to attack them suddenly, so they would declare war.

Killing off hundreds of thousands who had no say.

So, this was a life or death situation for Silica and practically the entire Kingdom.

What exactly did she get herself into again?

"Your hands are sweating," Edge muttered under his breath as they joined in the clapping.

"Duh," Silica grumbled, taking in a deep breath to calm her nerves.

Can this just go quickly, please?

"Silica, will you please join your Majesty on the stairs in a moment of silence?" Undyne, a member of the Royal Guard, asked.

Silica had to hold back complaints as she flashed a weak smile, which was the best she could muster, and walked up the stairs slowly and carefully. She wasn't used to walking in heels still, and the dress was really annoying, she just wanted her jeans back again.

And a smoke would be amazing in this stressful moment.

"This is Silica, who had begged me to be a spy in honor of me, to protect her dearest King!" Asgore declared.

Edge shoved back a laugh when Silica's eye twitched out of utter annoyance, and her hands crossed behind her back to keep herself from attacking him by stabbing him with a heel. She wanted to scream and scream at him, but she had to hold it back. She needed to do this perfectly, the fate of all of the citizens rested on her shoulders.

She was looking over the crowd of higher class citizens to dry to distract herself from the King spitting out narcissistic lies, and her dark blue eyes landed on Blue, who was slightly waving at her to get her attention. She waved back using her left hand that was slightly hidden behind her back so Asgore couldn't see it and get the wrong idea. When Blue saw she was watching him, he pulled his fingers to the edges of his teeth and dragged them back into a big grin.
