He had to be quiet.

Lust quietly opened his room door and stepped out, looking down the bare hallways. He didn't want to alert anyone, since Horror had to be kept a secret. He didn't mind if Grillby found out, since Grillby would let him go, but if someone else saw him, he didn't know what would happen. It was best just to keep it secret from anyone. If the servants saw, they probably wouldn't tell another high class member, but they might gossip among each other and a Royal Guard could possibly hear.

And that would not be good for anyone.

The hallway was silent and dark, the light from the moon slightly shining in through the windows scattered around the house. He had removed his high heels awhile ago, them stuffed underneath his bed as he walked, bare-footed, across the carpet floor.

It wasn't bad, it was actually very comfortable.

Maybe Grillby could accidently set his high heels on fire one day.

Just a thought.

It wasn't hard to make it out the front door, since most of the servants were probably in their quarters. Which was good for Lust, because he didn't need to use his sneaking skills.

Which he kinda wanted to use.

He's always wanted to go on an adventure. To travel, be free, not be constrained by the rules. To just have fun, fighting the evils and saving lives. Being the savior of someone.

That's why he was so excited to see Horror. Horror had been on an adventure, he still was on one.

It sounded like a dream come true.

Outside was cold, the chilly air pickling into his bones. The street was bare, a few distant sounds happening. It was the higher class village, so there wouldn't be many people on the streets in the middle of the night. Of course, there would be a few Royal Guards lurking about, so Lust would be extra careful.

And since he wasn't wearing his heels, he wouldn't make a clicking sound when he walked!

Heck yeah!

Of course, he immeadiatly regretted the decision of not wearing socks of any kind, because when his bare feet touched the cold sidewalk he nearly yelped, but managed to hold it into a small grunt. Sure, skeletons couldn't die from being too cold, but that didn't mean it didn't feel uncomfortable.

Yeah, if there was one thing Lust didn't like, it was cold stuff.

Like the sidewalk.

Lust shook his head, sweeping away his distracting thoughts. He was sneaking out of a house after all, to meet a vampire who was kinda his crush where no one could see them-

Dear Toby Fox he was in some sort of Twilight book.

He swore he refused to be as useless as the main character as he walked down the sidewalk carefully, trying to ignore the piercing cold that poked at his feet with each step. He wouldn't be like her, letting the vampires do all of the work. He would help them any way he could.

Wait, why exactly was he helping them?

The skeleton looked down at his chilling pathway as he walked, pondering what was his main reason for helping Horror, enough to justify him risking his life, sneaking out into the cold, to a part of a town where he could be killed with no one seeing, just to talk to a guy he barely knew.

And knowing him from his diary wasn't an excuse for him. The diary had ended six years ago, he had said he didn't need it anymore and he had said he was going to throw it away. Obviously that wasn't successful, but Horror could've changed throughout all of those years. Not to mention how he was still a vampire-
