"Sometimes, I felt like we weren't that close."
Flowey was perched on Cross' shoulder, a cool wind ticking at his leaves as they moved. Alphys was aheas as Ink was behind, Cross and Flowey in the middle. Cross, now that he knew Flowey was the old Asriel, was asking him questions.
"But she's your Mother, wouldn't you two be close?" Cross asked the flower.
"Asgore didn't like it when we spent time together, sometimes it was just really me and him," Flowey sighed, "Asgore kept us seperated. That's actually why they had a fight. Toriel was mad, she didn't like what he was doing."
"So, Asgore was abusive?" Cross asked.
"He... He actually wasn't."
Alphys looked back curiously, not knowing of this information as well. He thought for sure Asgore would be abusive. So he wasn't?
"I think he saw me as hope. Hope for something," Flowey spoke, "Asgore... He wasn't mean. He was trying. He skipped meetings to walk me around town, he played games with me. He was like a real Dad."
"That might mean his death sent Asgore out of control," Ink commented, catching up to the flower and skeleton.
"And that's why he killed Toriel, he was mad and grieving that he killed his son," Alphys added, standing in her spot as she waited for them to catch up.
"It still does not justify his actions, he may have been in pain, but killing someone over emotions does not make sense," Ink said.
"You have no emotions," Flowey said.
"I can handle it," Ink said, pointing at Cross, "But, I think we can use Flowey to our advantage."
"You want me to strangle someone with my vines?" Flowey asked.
"Wait, no, let's not kill anyone!" Cross said, "I don't want to get involved!"
"As a back up plan, if we get threatened," Ink said, "Asgore would probably want to see his son, right?"
"That's... Actually really smart," Alphys agreed, "I think we should keep that in mind."
"Only for emergency, though," Flowey said, "I don't like what he's become."
"No one does," Alphys sighed.
Cross looked up at the sky, covered in pollution and clouds. If only he could fly. He'd fly far, so far that no one could bother him. He'd maybe find a nice cloud to stay on, just sit up there alone and not have to deal with this.
But, as nice as that sounded, he promised to help Alphys and Ink, and he was going to do it.

"Spies, huh?"
Blue sat back down, running over all of the information he had just learned. They were spies, who were trying to help everyone escape.
"Our friendship wasn't fake, right Sans?" Blue asked.
"'Course not, we're going to help you escape, too," Sans explained, "But we can't now."
"You need to stay behind and help people here," Razz explained, "People are losing hope, you have to help convince them to fight back when the time is right."
"Right now, the Queen is getting others to help," Sans said, "She's going to build an army, come over, save people. Stop Asgore."
"I can help! Yes!" Blue said, standing up, "You're both leaving with the family?"
"We're going to help train people in the other Kingdom, probably," Razz explained.
"But, I have something to ask of you," Sans said, "Something I need you to follow."
"What's that?" Blue asked.
"It's about the vampires," Sans explained.

Welp, the next chapters will take place over night, and I didn't want to drag on these two scenes, but I didn't want to start the night activities in this chapter, so we're left with 500 word chapter. Sorry!
But, the next chapters are going to bring this book to the end, I'm estimating a most of 15 chapters before the story ends, if everything goes to plan. So get ready!
