Blue rolled over, groaning slightly when a cold breeze suddenly hit his face, the cold air prickling at his bones. The short skeleton then had sat up, blinking a few times as the cold air quickly developed his now exposed bones.

Wait...

Why was the air cold?

He had the fireplace burning brightly, so it should've still been warm if he woke up in the middle of the night. But for some weird reason, it was freezing in his room.

That open window could explain it.

The window across from his bed was wide open, banging lightly against the wall from the wind pouring in from the outdoors. In his half-awake state, he didn't question why it was open, he just quietly stood up out of bed and closed the window with a light click before turning back towards his bed.

"Greetings."

"Gah!" Blue hissed out of surprise, almost screaming out but stopping himself.

Dust, the guy he had met earlier, was laying on his side on his bed next to where Blue had been sleeping just mere moments earlier. His skull was propped up by his arm, a little grin playing on his face.

"What are you doing? In here? In my bedroom? In the middle of the night?" Blue whispered, approaching Dust in confusion, "How did you even get in?"

"The window you just closed," Dust said quietly, gesturing towards the window, "I got bored."

"You got bored, from your house which is probably really far away, and came all the way into the castle, snuck in through the window, and sat down in my bed until I woke up?" Blue questioned him.

"Indeed," Dust said, sitting up while stretching his arms, "If it's a problem, I can leave. I'm used to not being wanted, after all."

"No, the Magnificent Blue never turns down hosting a new friend, even if it is-" He paused, glancing out the window at the moon, "-Midnight time!"

"Cool beans," Dust said, standing up, "Do you have more poptarts at all? Those things are delicious!"

"I refuse to ever run out!" Blue said, keeping his voice at a minimum, "But uh, I put them in the public kitchen for the Jury members since I had to let the servants clean out my kitchen, so we'll go on a little adventure."

"Sounds great," Dust said, "And I'm sorry about barging in, I got lonely so I snuck in."

"You snuck in just to see me?" Blue asked, "That's awesome!"

"You are very welcome, my good friend," Dust said, snapping his fingers before pointing them at Blue.

"But we gatta be sneaky," Blue said, pressing a finger against his teeth, "Very sneaky."

"Sneaky, I shall be sneaky, like a sneaky snake," Dust whispered back.

Blue opened the door and stepped out, gesturing for Dust to follow him. Dust did, the two tip-toeing into the carpeted hallway before the jury member silently closed the door behind him. They both silently giggled at the sneaking as they make weird expressions at each other, but they still made sure to remain silent, both of then for different reasons.

If Dust was caught in the castle, sneaking around, he would be attacked almost immeadiatly. Probably overwhelmed, since he hadn't accessed his full vampire powers yet, and make Blue find out his true identity. And he didn't want that.

Sometimes, with the vampires, it was all business and survival. It was annoying and boring, unless it was torture, Dust didn't really like killing. He liked how creative he could get with torturing, but with normal, quick killing, he didn't get that happiness from killing like the others. So, it was just plain boring for him unless he could spice it up. That's why he liked Blue, since Blue was like a friend he could hang out with and not have to worry about all of that offical, survival crap. Not to mention he got free poptarts.
