There is a team of superheros, The Elites, who have elemental powers, protecting New York City. When the team meets The Red Eye Brothers, things change rapidly. Friends go missing, friends get injured, and some may build new reltionships.
"So...what's the plan? Do we go after them and get her back?" Raiyn asked.
We had gotten back from the battle a while ago. Stella and Rebecca had a lot of wounds, so they were laying on the ground in the living room, unconscious. Elise was working as fast as she could to heal them both. Meanwhile, Raiyn, Alex, and I were working on a plan to rescue Amber.
And let's just say it wasn't going to well.
"I disagree. Let's let them come to us," Alex argued.
"They'll kill her by then! We're dealing with mass murderers, Alexandra. MASS MURDERERS!" Raiyn yelled.
Ever the calm one, Alex only calmly stated," They aren't that hostile, Raiyn. We don't even know if they are behind it."
"But you're the one who has been gathering evidence and you told me to point it at them!" Raiyn stated.
Elise abruptly turned around.
"Alexandra...you've been doing this? Shouldn't the police handle it?" She said.
"They haven't gotten any further than we have. We need inside help," Alex pointed out.
"But...they don't sound like mass murderers. They seem like us. We are just trying to keep the city away from danger," Elise protested.
"Elise and Alex are right. We should let them make the move. If they want to attack then they should-" I stopped and looked at my phone. There was a movement update from one of Raiyn's cameras.
"What's wrong?" Raiyn asked.
"There's a cloaked figure. They are trying to get into the base," I said.
"Everyone! Quick! Grab Stella and Becca and run them to the safe room. Lyra-Rose, you know what to do," Raiyn said. And with that, Raiyn and Alex slung Stella and Becca over their shoulders and ran to the safe room. Elise ran behind them. As Stella left the room, it darkened so it was pitch black.
Whenever Amber wasn't in the house, I was left in charge of intrusions. Which in my opinion, sucked, but as long as it wasn't one of the others, they didn't complain.
I ran behind the couch, so I had the best view of the door. It took a lot to break into our house without Raiyn's alarm system going off. Raiyn could break into any system or put up a firewall that was nearly impossible to break into.
I heard the creak of the door as it opened. The cloaked figure poked its head in. It seemed like it was almost made of darkness.
"Wait a second..." I thought.
I reached down to the necklace Stella had given all of us. It was filled with a small ball of light for emergencies. I opened it and threw it at the figure. It recoiled at the sight of light and tried to douse it. I took this pause and I ran to the breaker box and flipped on all of the lights. When I got back, I saw the intruder had taken off its cloak. It looked like...
"Amber!" I cried.
"Lyra-Rose?" She asked. I ran over to her and hugged her.
"They let you out?" I asked.
"No, I escaped," she responded.
"Did they follow you?" I asked.
"I don't believe so," Amber said,"where are the others?"
"They are in the safe room. We thought you were one of them," I said.
"Well, I'm clearly not," Amber laughed," I have something to tell you though."
"Do you want me to get the girls?" I asked.
"Yes. It is...kinda big...and important," she said.
"I will get straight on that then." And I took off for the safe room.
When I got there, Raiyn was yelling,"Water! Stay hydrated!" Everyone was laughing so hard. They all grew quiet when I came in the room.
"Is the intruder gone?" Stella asked. She and Rebecca had woken up and looked healthy.
"No. Actually, Amber's back!" I cheered.
"Omigosh! Seriously?!" Becca asked.
"Yes! And she said she has something very important to tell us so let's go!" I said.
And with that, we all took off towards the living room. When we got there, we found Amber sitting comfortably on the couch.
"Amber!" Raiyn cried.
"You're safe!" Alexandra excitedly said.
After lots of hugs, we all sat down so could Amber tell us the news.
"Okay, so as you know there is some big news I need to tell you. It's about..." she paused.
"Well, go on," I prodded.
"I explored the Red Eye Brother's hangout. I now know every square inch of it. I used my phone to make a map. We are all set for when we intrude. Tomorrow night," Amber announced.
"Wait, TOMORROW!?!" Elise asked.
"Yes. They will be least expecting us then," Amber said.
There was a beat of silence.
"Let's just celebrate that Amber's back!" Stella suggested.
"Great idea! We can go in my room!" I said.
"Let's have some fun girls!" Alex cheered.
We all then split and ran to our separate rooms to get our things. Once in my room, I shut the door behind myself and leaned against it.
"Tonight's gonna be an all nighter," I sighed. I looked around my bedroom at the thought of multiple people in here. My bedroom had never been very large. I had a queen size canopy bed and on either side was a night table with a green lamp. There were vines growing down the sides of my white canopy. I had a white bench with green cushions right at the foot of my bed. My green sheets really added a pop of color to the room. Everything in my room was either green or white.
My room was painted a stark white color and I had a vaulted ceiling. There were vines growing up the side of the walls. I had two French double doors leading into my room. I love the French architecture style. Instead of a desk, along the windowsill I had my multiple plants and my hydroponics table. I loved experimenting with the flowers and coming up with new kinds. My one wall was mostly windows, which made this room perfect for growing plants. I could sit in the bay window and water them. When I read my books, I sat in the bay window. The dresser next to the closet was filled with seeds. My closet was filled mostly with books. But what wasn't books, were my clothes. I had more of a casual style. You know, long sweaters and beanies. Haters can hate all they want, but I love my room.
Raiyn barged in first.
"What should we do?" I asked her.
"We should play Paranoia, and then Mario Kart. The new DC Super Heroes game is out, too!" Raiyn responded.
I grinned. "All nighter then?"
"Of course!" Raiyn responded.
Everyone came into the room soon after that. We enjoyed one of the best nights of our lives, completely forgetting about the fact that tomorrow we were going to take down one of the biggest villain teams around.
We were gonna be so tired.
