Lyra-Rose's Point-of-View
Stella, Raiyn and I had turned our entire living room into a fortress of pillows, blankets, and beanbags. We moved the couch and tables so that we had small pillars holding the fort up. We draped huge sheets across the top and moved the lamps down to the floor. We used all of the couch cushions and pillows to make the inside as comfortable as possible. And with the warm blankets, we made our beds. There was so much room in the tent that we made separate rooms to sleep in! We had a mini living room too.
"I wonder where the rest of the girls are," Stella said.
Raiyn and I looked at each other and smiled. We had our imagination to refer to.
"Who's making breakfast? Alex's not here and I'm starving," I said.
"I just need a stool and I can reach the microwave," Raiyn said.
"I'll make the scrambled eggs!" I said. Scrambled eggs were my specialty.
"I'll make the microwave pancakes!" Raiyn said.
"And I got the bacon!" Stella said.
Raiyn grabbed a stool from the bathroom and we started making breakfast.
"Anyone else tired?" Stella asked, while making the bacon.
"Not really," I said.
"Seriously though, where are the girls? It's almost ten in the morning," Raiyn said. The microwave beeped and she jumped up to grab the pancakes.
"I find it odd that Alex and Elise aren't home. Seriously though, they are super responsible," Stella said.
"Ha! Becca and Amber!" I laughed.
Stella went to put the bacon on the plate. I finished making the scrambled eggs and I scraped it out of the skillet. Raiyn was already sitting at the table and waiting for us.
"Okay, so what should we do today? If the girls don't come home soon I-" Stella stopped.
There was a sudden knocking at the front door. I got up to answer it.
"God help us all. We were about to eat," Raiyn muttered.
I cautiously walked up to the front door. That door was rarely used. Only when the government came in for inspections and to give us a check up.
I peered through the eye hole. I didn't see anyone there. I silently opened the door.
"Hello?" I whispered.
Just then, three figures came into view.
"Liam? Cameron? Hayden? Is that you?" I asked.
Cameron and I hugged briefly.
"What are you doing here?" Stella asked as she came up to the door.
"Can we come in? There's something we need to talk about," Hayden said.
I opened the door wide and let them in. By the time I had closed the door and walked back down the hallway to the kitchen, I found that the boys were sitting down in the chairs that we Elites usually sit in.
As I sat down, Liam started in on the story.
"So last night, none of the boys came home. And this morning, they didn't either. I don't believe anything happened to them, but still," he said.
"We thought they were at your base," Stella said.
"Something's definitely wrong," Hayden said.
"We need to find them!" I exclaimed.
"They could be in some pretty serious trouble," Cameron said.
Just then, one of our exit gates creaked open. We all jumped to our feet, powers at the ready.
"Hey, uhh girls? Something happened," a voice said. Seconds later, Parker's face came into view. And he was carrying Alexandra. He went to set her down in the living room and stared at the tent.
"Dang...you guys were busy last night," he said,"where would you like me to set Alexandra down?"
"I'll take her," Stella said. As she took Alex from Parker's arms, her head lolled off to the side. She was either really tired or got some serious injuries. Stella went off to Alexandra's bedroom.
Once she was gone, I pinned Parker up against a wall.
"How could you?" I hissed," how could you take our perfect, precious Alexandra on a date, and give her back to us, UNCONSCIOUS!?!"
"Let me explain!" Parker pleaded.
"No! You are at my mercy now, and you don't get another chance with her! You don't even get much more time to live either!" I screamed. I pushed my arm up against Parker's throat so he couldn't breathe. His body started to twitch and his face went purple.
"Lyra-Rose! Stop!" Raiyn said. She pulled me away from Parker.
As Parker regained his breath, Raiyn scolded me on trying to kill Alex's future boyfriend.
"I didn't do anything wrong!" Parker pleaded," we were eating dinner one the garden floor of The Scene and-"
"You know, she's always wanted to eat on the top floor of that place," Stella said as she returned from her short walk.
"Good job on the date idea part. That's really cute! You know that's her favorite restaurant too, right?" Raiyn said.
"As I was saying," Parker continued, obviously annoyed at being interrupted," everything was fine until Alex knocked the lit candle onto the floor. Then the whole place burst into flames! Then we-"
"Awwww there's a 'we' now!" Raiyn fangirled.
"As I was saying," Parker glared at Raiyn," then we had to jump off the building to escape. Alexandra used her powers to make it a softer landing. We both jumped into the minivan and-"
"Dude, where's the mini-van?" Liam asked.
"I'm getting there!" Parker shouted. After a few deep breaths, he started again. "We climbed into the cargo hold, ya know, the stow-and-go. We tried to get out of the parking space, but two cars literally slammed themselves into our car. And then, there were the gunshots. Alex was hurt pretty badly and I didn't have anything to treat her with. We sat there all night in the car. Then at like six in the morning, I was thinking of a way out when I realized that there was a teleport button on the car. So, I teleported to the nearest base, which was here."
"Quite a night," I whispered.
Just then, someone else bust into the room.
"Did a new Young Justice episode come out yet?" The voice asked.
"Amber!" I cheered.
"Boy, do I have a story for you guys!" She said as she came into the kitchen. She was holding Rowan.
"What the heck!?" Cameron practically yelled.
"What did you do to Rowan?" Parker asked.
"Long story short, there were some people chasing us and we almost died. I've been carrying Rowan since he fell unconscious," Amber said.
"Let's put him somewhere so Elise can heal him when he gets back,"I said. Raiyn grabbed him from Amber's hands and took him to Amber's room.
"What do we do? Do we just wait for the others?" I asked.
"At least we have somewhere to wait," Amber said. She motioned towards the tent.
"We're gonna need a lot of coffee," Cameron said.
