Alexandra's Point-of-View

"Remember the plan, Alex. This should be easy. Just focus on me," Parker whispered to me.

We continued walking towards the building.

I hated the plan. I hated it so much. So very much. It wasn't my idea, but it was the only one that would work.

The sun was almost beneath the buildings, and we used that to our advantage. With the way the sun hit the building, the building's shadow connected with both of ours when we stood together. Thus, Amber would transform everyone into shadows, and they would become our shadow.

It was a risky plan. But so was everything else we were doing.

Parker and I began our part of the plan. He put his hand on my cheek and his thumb on my lips. And I closed my eyes. I really couldn't look. I knew Parker would close his eyes, too. He told me he would.

The second before the stage kiss was to happen, I felt my check go cold. Parker moved his hand. I am confused. Wait, PARKER! The next second, his lips were on mine. He could tell I was surprised.

"Alex..." Parker started to say. I cut him off before he could say more, by closing the gap between us.

"Alex, we need to get someone's attention." He pushed me up to the wall and started kissing me again. I started to kick the wall.

And eventually, someone noticed.

"Hey! What are y'all doing here?" A dirty looking man asked as he walked out of the building. Parker and I stopped our kiss.

"Sir, I believe this is state property. So why were you inside?" I asked sweetly. Nobody can deny anything to a helpless-looking, innocent girl.

"Sweetheart, what's your mama's number? We should call you and get you home," the man practically laughed," What's your curfew? Six o'clock?"

"No! I am responsible," I argued. The man only laughed more.

Thank god this was only a distraction.

"Now listen, both of you. I don't wanna see neither of you over here again, got it?" The man threatened. Parker and I nodded violently.

"Good. Now get!" The man shooed us off. Parker and I moved to the shadows and watched as we quickly transformed into one. We all moved as one unit toward to dirty man's shadow.

You could practically feel the fear in the air.

The man lit up a cigarette. Everyone waited patiently to move with the man. Once he had stubbed the butt of it, he reached for the door to walk back inside. As he opened the door, we all felt the huge gust of wind blast, pushing us all around. We stuck with the man, until he rounded a corner. There, we stopped and Amber transformed us all into our original beings.

"We're in," I whispered.

Just then, footsteps echoed down the hallway.

"Everyone, touch me," Micah said. And with that, we all turned invisible. We watched as the person walked down the hallway and swung a right. We all released from Micah's arm.
