Samantha
Another school day, and it sucked. I was happy once the bell rang. I walked to my locker and grabbed all my books that I needed for tonight. I closed it and noticed Willow walking towards me. "Hey," I said as she got closer to me. She smiled and said, "Hi." We both started walking to our cars. "So what are you doing tonight?" Willow shrugged and said, "Probably hangout with my friends. Why don't you come?" I looked down and said, "Uh I can't I have a lot of homework and stuff." Willow looked at me and laughed. I looked at her and said, "What? What's so funny?" Willow shook her head and said, "That is always your excuse. You got something else better to do?"
I looked away and answered, "No, not really. My mom has been on my ass for school, work, and college." Willow looked at me and said, "I think you need a break, honestly. I would be so tired if I was you." I shrugged and said, "What do I do?" Willow smiled and said, "Tell your mom to fuck off." I laughed and said, "I can't say that! She'll ground me and be pissed at me more." "Hey, listen I heard somebody is having a party like in a couple weeks. You should go to it." I looked over at her and said, "I don't know. I might have plans already." Willow laughed and said, "Plans for what? Studying? Listen your coming not matter what." She patted me on my shoulder then said, "I got to go. Talk to you later." I walked towards my car thinking what did I just get myself into.
I threw my book bag and books in my car. I started it up and drove away. I came home and headed upstairs. "Sam." My mom said as I was just heading up to my bedroom. "What?" I looked over at her. She was sitting in the bar stool reading something. "Come here." My mom said. I headed back down the steps and walked over to her. She was holding some paper. She looked at it then handed it to me. It was a college letter from Boston University. It had said they declined me as a student and I couldn't attend there. I looked over at my mom.
"That is bullshit, Sam." My mom said firmly. I held the letter tightly. "Do you see why I work you hard? Now you can't get into this damn college. You need to quit playing with that pointless boy and focus on your career." My throat started hurting and I felt like I was going to cry. I was about to defend Harry, but I thought he was pointless too. "You can leave because that's all I wanted to tell you." I put down the letter and headed back upstairs and into my bedroom.
I closed the door behind and started doing my homework. When I finished up my homework I realized I was almost late for work. I quickly got ready and drove to the music shop. I wasn't really looking forward to work and I was already tired from studying.
Work was horrible, but it flew by fast. Harry didn't visit me, like always. I was starting to think what happened to him, but I didn't care less. I drove home trying to think about something positive, but I couldn't. I was draining to come home to my mother. Once I got home I started heading upstairs just as she stopped me. "Dinner is ready." She said in a polite tone. "I'm not hungry and honestly I need to finish my homework." "Sam." She said looking over at me. "Mom, I have a ton of shit I have to do and you honestly you don't know how much it is. I have no time eating." I headed upstairs.
I finished my homework quickly and cleaned up my room. I washed up and put on my pajamas. Somebody knocked on my door as I was about to fall asleep. "Are you fucking kidding me?" I said raising my tone. My sister peeked in and looked at me. "Listen, Mom told me about what happened. She just wants you to be happy and that's all. She didn't want to hurt your feelings." I looked up at her and said, "She probably told you to tell me that." We were quiet then I said, "You can leave now." I laid back down. "Goodnight," Sophie said before closing my door. I sighed and closed my eyes.
