Chapter 40

Harry

I woke up around 10 in the morning and decided to get ready. I washed up and changed into some decent clothes. I threw on some khaki skinny jeans and a plain white long sleeved shirt. I started going downstairs when Sam called my name. I turned back around and seen Sam lying in the big bed all by herself. “Yes?” I peeked in. She smiled and said, “Come here.” I walked over to the edge of the bed and she looked up at me. “I’m sorry about my family. I didn’t know they were coming here and everything. If you want I can tell them to leave,” Samantha said. I shook my head and said, “No that’s fine, but they might not get any Christmas presents.” Sam giggled and said, “Okay well I’ll get up and get ready. What do you want to do today?” Sam sat up from the bed. I shrugged and said, “Whatever you want to, but I was thinking that we could open presents tonight.” She nodded and started towards the bathroom. It was quiet then I heard her turn the water on. “Oh Sam,” I yelled. She silently came out with a towel around her thin body and her hair up in a bun. “Louis gets to come home today so don’t let me forget to pick him up.” She smiled and started to leave then I said, “Wait Sam.” She came back out. I laughed a little and said, “Be sure to wash your hair out.” She smiled and I left the bedroom and went downstairs.

I looked down at the living room and Sam’s sister and her friend were on the couch while Sam's mom couldn’t be found. “Hi guys,” I said as I was on the last step. They looked at me and smiled. “Are you guy’s hungry?” I asked as I headed towards the kitchen. “Yes,” Willow said getting up and walking towards me.  She sat down on the barstool and asked, “What do you guys have to eat?” I looked through the cabinets and said, “Well we have cereal, eggs, oatmeal, toast, or waffles.” Willow hummed then said, “I’ll have oatmeal.” I quickly poured the dried oatmeal into a bowl and poured water in it. I set it in the microwave and put the timer on it. “So how long have you been dating Sam?” Willow asked while waiting for her oatmeal. “A couple months ago,” I answered. Soon the microwave beeped and I took it out. I handed it to her and gave her a spoon. “It might be hot,” I warned Willow. She smiled and began eating. I walked towards Sam's sister and said, “Hi.” She looked at me and smiled. “Hi.” “I’m Harry by the way.” I said. I held out my hand. She shook it and said, “I’m Sophie. It’s nice to meet you, Harry.” We let go and I asked, “Do you want anything to eat?” She shook her head and said, “No I’m fine right now.” I nodded and asked, “Where’s your mom at?” “Oh she was tired so she went back to bed.” Sophie answered. I went back to Willow and made some toast for myself.

Samantha finally came downstairs. “Hey,” Sam said. Willow and I continued eating our food, while Sophie was watching TV. “Hey babe,” Samantha said when she was beside me. She gave me a kiss on the cheek and continued walking. She made some cereal for herself and sat right beside me.

Everyone was done eating and I cleaned up the place while the girls decided what they wanted to do. “How about we go shopping?” Willow asked. Sophie shrugged and said, “I don’t know. I wanted just to eat out somewhere.” They kept arguing until Sam’s mother woke up and went came downstairs. “Harry, would you like to do something with us?” Willow asked. I shrugged and said, “No it’s fine. You girls can have your all girl’s day today.” “Well what are you going to do?” Willow asked. I continued cleaning and said, “I’m just going to pick Louis up from the hospital.” They all looked back at me, concerned, except for Sam. “What happened?” Sophie asked. “Oh he had some issues with his stomach, but he’s coming home tonight.” They were all quiet and so I continued cleaning.

When I was done cleaning I went over by Sam and said, “If you’re going out would you please pick up a cake for Louis. I forgot to and I don’t really want to go out to the mall if you’re going.” Sam nodded and I headed towards the closet. I put on my coat and slipped on my shoes. I was about to leave when Sam asked, “Wait where are you going?” I grabbed the car keys and said, “I’m leaving to pick up Louis. I think we might watch a movie over at the boys’ house or something. Text me.” She smiled and I left the apartment.

I quickly drove to the hospital and went up to Louis’ room. I knocked and entered the room. “Hey,” I said. Louis was fully dressed, and was sitting down on a chair while he was waiting for me. “It’s about damn time.” Louis said remained sitting. “Well are you ready to go?” I asked. “Yeah I have to wait for my nurse though because she’s supposed to help me with my medication, but you can put my stuff in your car.” Louis explained. I grabbed all the Louis’ sacks, which were full of clothes, and headed out, towards my car. I can back inside and found Louis on the main level. “I got the medication. She said I could leave now.” Louis said walking towards me. We jumped in my car and I drove away.

I drove back to the apartments and parked the car. We got out and I grabbed Louis’ bags. First we went to my apartment because I wanted to make sure Louis’ clothes got into my apartment and so we wouldn’t make extra trips. I unlocked the door and opened it; luckily Sam and her family were gone so I didn’t have to explain to Louis. I set the bags down by the closet and started leaving, but Louis didn’t follow me. “You’re just gunna set them there?” Louis asked. I turned around and said, “Yeah. I hope that’s fine.” Louis looked at me then shrugged and we left the apartment.

We went over to boys’ apartment and decided to watch a movie. When we arrived there, Zayn was watching a movie already along with Liam. Niall and his new girlfriend were nowhere to be found. “Hey guys,” I said as I walked in. Louis followed behind and yelled, “What’s up?” Zayn and Liam looked back at both of us and smile. “Louis!” Liam yelled. “You’re home.” He quickly got up and hugged him lightly. “What are you guys doing?” I asked once Liam and Louis let go of each other. “We’re doing nothing; Zayn and I are watching a movie. Do you want to join?” Liam asked. I nodded my head and we took off our coats and shoes off.  We headed over to the TV area. We both sat down on the couch and started watching the movie.

It was around 5 o’clock when I got up from the couch and started putting my coat and shoes on. “Where are you going?” Zayn asked. I slipped on my stuff and said, “Oh I have to go now. I have to make food and everything for tonight. I’ll see you guys later.” I started heading out when Liam yelled, “Wait, Harry. When are we supposed to be there?” I shrugged and said, “Around 7:30 or 8 o’clock would be fine, but just don’t show up late.” They laughed then I said, “Is Niall going to come?” Zayn shrugged and said, “I don’t think so. I think he has plans, but I’ll tell him.” I nodded and left the apartment.

I arrived on my level and went to my apartment door and unlocked it. The first thing I seen was Louis’ box of clothes. Great I had another thing on my list. I took off my coat and shoes and started cooking right away. I made turkey along with ham just because I didn’t know what people liked more; I also made a couple of casseroles, like green bean casserole and sweet potato casserole. I also made stuffing and mashed potatoes. I was pretty much done when the girls arrived home and it was 8 in the evening.

“Hi honey,” Sam walked over by me and kissed me. “What did you all buy?” I asked. I was nervous about how much bags the girls brought in. “Just a couple things. Don’t worry.” Sam said heading upstairs. She continued upstairs then yelled, “Hey Harry, can you come here?” The rest of the girls were in the living room and they all looked at me. I stopped cooking and headed upstairs. I went into the master bedroom and found Sam in there. I closed the door behind me and looked at all the sacks she had on the bed. “I bought a couple things for you, but I don’t know if you’ll like them. Would you want to try them on?” Sam asked me. I shrugged and she went through a couple sacks. She gave me a couple sacks and I took out the clothes that were in there.

She bought a couple pairs of shirts for me, which I all liked them and agreed to wear them around. She also bought me some plain skinny jeans in different colors, like light brown, black, dark brown, and grey. I agreed to her that I would wear them too. “So will you wear a new outfit for tonight?” Sam asked as she folded the new clothes. I sighed and said, “Well I actually had in mind on what to wear, but I guess I can.” She smiled and I headed back downstairs to finish cooking.
